I didn’t even know they still sold this old-style camera case. They used to be everywhere when I was young, and this one is a much more updated, less clunky version of the type I always liked. I’m not using it for a camera, but for something I keep in my purse and access frequently. It’s incredibly convenient to reach in, open it without removing it from my bag, grab what I need, and flip it closed again — the magnetic closure catches instantly. Simple, quick, and perfect. It wouldn’t work for everything I carry, but for the items I use often, it’s surprisingly ideal. I’m so happy I found this on Amazon after all these years. The case is well made with quality materials, including a soft outer cover, a hand strap, and interior pockets. For the price, it feels like a really great deal.

TLDR: Great basic case offering minimal protection. Not meant to be heavy-duty, rather protect camera from scuffs and spills. Serves this purpose well, even if you have a rubber skin on your camera. A nice addition would be the ability to attach it to your belt. Full Review: This case is a great fit for the Canon PowerShot G7 X Mark III. The camera slides in snugly without feeling forced, and the magnetic flap closes securely while still allowing quick access when you need to grab the camera fast. Another reviewer knocked this case for offering little protection, I’d say that isn’t the purpose of this case. It is a lightweight case meant to provide protection against scratches and minor bumps without adding unnecessary bulk. This makes it ideal for travel or everyday carry. The interior lining is soft and doesn’t rub or scuff the camera body or screen. If I was packing my camera in luggage or expecting rough handling, I would use a bulkier case offering more protection. I bought this case knowing its purpose. That review also mentioned it being a “loose fit”. For this type of case, I prefer an “easy in and easy out” fit to allow quick access. While not form-fitting, it is far from being loose and shaking around in the case. It fits the camera fine, even allowing easy in and out access if you have a rubber skin on your camera. The compact size is small enough to toss into a bag or jacket pocket while still giving peace of mind that the camera is protected. The magnetic closure is effective and quick instead of having to fumble with a zipper or clasp if you are in a hurry to catch a shot.

Overall: For the price, OK quality. The material itself is pretty nice, but it is designed and made simply such that there is not much padding at all. The "walls" of this case will bow in very easily, so I don't suggest this for tightly packed luggage or backpack. In a crossbody bag? This is great. Functionality is just limited to that though for my personal concerns. The dimensions are as follows so you figure if your camera or device will fit: 4.75in L x 2in W x 2.5in H Material: This does seem to be made out of thin leather. The finish feels good to the touch. There is elastic fabric on the inside to store SD cards, and perhaps add some softness against your camera's LCD screen. There's magnets sewn into the top flap which allows it to close on itself. Design: This is designed... very simply. It's only a few pieces of leather machine sewed at the seams. There are two elastic slip pockets along the inside back of the case for an SD card or very slim battery. It's a simple flip top with magnetic flaps to keep the closed. Use: Very simple camera case here. The leather, as mentioned, is THIN so it will bow very easily to outside pressure. I wouldn't feel comfortable with using this in stuffed bag. This will provide aesthetic protection, but since it's not thick, if you drop your camera in this case, it may get damaged compared to using a hard shell cover or other.

I have a tiny Fujifilm FinePix J40 that I bought in 2011 as I’ve been taking it out more, I thought it would be good to have a case for the camera and my two spare batteries. This case is lovely. It comes with a camera strap that attaches directly to the camera, not the bag. The bag is soft, but sturdy enough to be thrown in a pocket more haphazardly than you would throw the camera. It has space to hold my batteries, other camera accessories, like a filter, and the charger. This also fits my Panasonic Lumix ZS60 very snugly. The magnetic snap across the front is made up of four magnets and feels quite strong. I’m sure a drop could dislodge it, but you shouldn’t be dropping your camera anyway. It doesn’t have shock protection, so just be careful about that. This is basically to help prevent scratches. It seems to be worth the money so far as it is absorbing all of the damage the camera would normally take in my pocket.

I have a Canon G7X Mk II and I'm disappointed in this case - it is by no means a "snug fit." There is a centimeter or more space on any side of the camera when inserted into this case. It is basically just a thin layer of folded up leather. You can't attach the strap to the case itself, it's just for your camera, by the way. The camera shakes around all over the place when inside of this case. Do not waste your money on this. It would be better if there was some padding around the edges to both secure the camera in place and offer some sort of shock resistance in case it falls. I was hoping to find something to replace my bulkier Lowerpro case that has an annoying zipper, but I won't be making the switch.
