The media could not be loaded. Sep 7 update: I contacted the company about the tape not working great for me and they immediately sent out some replacement extensions and tape. I just put in the new tape, but so far so good. With the low price and good customer service, you cannot go wrong with this company and I highly recommend. Original post: Summary at bottom! I have super thin and super fine hair because of alopecia and I have started experimenting with tape in extensions. I received these on August 13 and installed them August 14. I followed the exact directions given for installation. I slept with a bonnet on, never put my hair up, took cold showers, used clarifying shampoo only, only used my fingers to detangle, and never used hot tools without a heat protectant. But by August 20, I had several of the extensions come loose & slide down my hair or just fall out completely. I made sure to thoroughly remove the old tape and replaced it with some of the replacement tape that came with the extensions and thought nothing of it. Then on August 23, while combing through my DRY hair with my fingers, more of the extensions were pulled out. I know that I can’t expect a lot from these extensions since they were cheap, but a lot of the other reviews had the extensions last a lot longer than I did, so maybe I just got some bad tape. But besides the crappy tape, these are really nice extensions. They blend very well and aren’t heavy when dry and only slightly heavy when wet. You could absolutely install these right after receiving them- only reason I waited was because they were delivered a day early and I had not washed my hair yet. It did take me 3-4 hours to install them myself because I’m new to tape ins. The attached photo was taken the day I installed them, right before I got into the shower to wash my hair, which is why it’s so poofy and greasy looking (sorry). The video was taken once I finished installing all of the extensions and had straightened all of my hair to help the extensions blend better. The extensions had no problem with staying straightened for 4-5 days (as long as it wasn’t too humid outside). The quality has held up well so far; they feel exactly like they did when they arrived. I like the extensions enough that I am genuinely debating repurchasing them if I color my hair differently or if I have my current set long enough that they can no longer be reused. Summary: The tape on these tape-ins only lasted me about 4-5 days each but I think I might’ve just gotten some defective tape. So far, they have maintained their quality and I am very happy with how easily they blend with my significantly shorter natural hair. They take a while to install but that could also just be a normal learning curve. I would probably buy these again.

Out of all the different hair extension types, my favorite is blonde tape-in hair extensions! I find them really convenient and comfortable to wear. I chose LAAVOO because their tape is super affordable, the color is gorgeous, and they offer a variety of sizes that are perfect for me. However, when I started using tape-in, I encountered a major issue that almost made me want to give up on them. Some tapes weren't sticky enough and would fall off as soon as I put them on, while others were too sticky and would almost stick to my real hair. Despite my frustration, I still loved tape-ins and didn't want to give up on them. So, I reached out to customer service and they patiently taught me how to use the tape correctly step-by-step. I realized that I had been making mistakes all along. That's why I want to share what I learned with you, so you can avoid making the same mistakes. Here are some tips for working with tape-in: 1. Don't use conditioner before putting on the tape! The conditioner will make your hair too smooth, which reduces the tape's stickiness and causes it to fall off easily. 2. The customer service recommended that I use the sandwich method. I found this method to be very effective: tape-real hair-tape. It provides extra stability and keeps the extensions securely in place. 3. Remember that the tape is hot melt, so you need to use a heating plate to make it more sticky when wearing it. However, be careful not to use too much heat, or the glue will stick to your natural hair and be difficult to clean up. 4. Once you've put on the tape, don't touch water for 48 hours. During this time, the glue is working hard to attach the extensions securely. Touching the water too soon can make the tape come off. 5. You can replace the tape with a new piece after about 2-3 weeks. And the best part is that LAAVOO includes a free replacement tape in every package! I hope these tips will help anyone who has struggled with tape-in extensions like I did. First off when I got them they were not actually the full size I purchased but I was pressed for time and had to use them. They seemed to look nice and like they normally do when they first arrive and after putting them in. I waited the normal 3 days I always do to wash my hair and the first time I did I knew the next couple months were going to be a hassle and I was going to have my hair in a braid 99% of the time! 1st off unless I used a conditioning mask and brushed my hair in the shower I would have to wait for my hair to dry completely in order to brush it because these extensions were so bad they would turn into a rats nest when I would wash my hair and unfortunately my real hair would get caught up in that mess too. I’ve been doing my own extensions since I was 24 and I’m 43 so this is not user error. If you need more reasons why I will never purchase this brand or type again here are a few more….I know they normally have that chemical process smell the first time you wash them, maybe even the second time but since I have had them in, it has never gone away. I can’t flat iron my hair because of the smell. Also I have never had my extensions look dull after the first wash. They have no shine and remind me of one of my daughters Barbie’s she plays with in the bath that is over processed. Disappointed since it’s always a couple packs of tape ins and my hair is really long so I need the longest I can find. Recap i didn’t not get what I paid for: Very fake looking Dry Looks like a rats nest regardless what I did Couldn’t brush after I showered Smelled like chemicals even after months with washing Dull Doesn’t blend at all No soft Only think I can say, they won’t come out and I had to order take remover to get the. Out tomorrow so I guess that’s one positive if we are to see one.
