  • No bs, an honest review
So I've purchased TONS of lip products designed to hydrate or repair dry lips and lets just state the obvious; chap sticks and balms are nice for like an hour, then your lips will actually be in worse condition! But sometimes the chapped burn and flaky skin is so awful you just have to apply something (I've actually had better luck with lip gloss). That was my life for months, every winter in the midwest. The best I could find was basic vaseline, yet I could fill a shoebox with my failed lip products. I just kept buying anything that promised a pretty and moisturize pout. I specifically sought out more expensive brands hoping for miracles, and some were fine but maybe they didnt last long or had a weird tint or smell. Whatever the case I always ended up back at the start, chapped lips and all. When I found this product I immediately purchased it, I don't think $10 for a tube is unreasonable if it fulfills it's claims to repair dry lips. These tubes last months and if it works then it was money well spent. In this case a little goes a long way as it's pretty oily vs goopy or waxy. It spreads thin and at first I thought it was not thick enough to do the job. Honestly the first few uses didn't feel like they made any difference at all, I was worried I had wasted more money but low and behold after about a week of use I noticed a huge difference! I waited about a month to write this review to make sure I didn't point anybody in the wrong direction, and I'm a firm believer that not all formulas work for every person but this is the first product in many years that HEALED my chapped lips AND didn't leave them in even worse condition. After a few weeks my lips are effortlessly smooth and soft, not cracked at all, from casual once a day use. I would highly recommend this product to any of my friends who are experiencing burning and chopped lips. The tube is slightly difficult to squeeze and I'm not sure why, but I certainly don't need anyone else to squeeze the tube for me lmao, that's ridiculous. It's fine with me because I hate unscrewing a cap and having an excessive amount of leaked product all over the applicator. It stays in the tube until its squeezed out and thats the way it should be. All in all its a great product for dry lips, I will be buying it again, and I can tell others from experience that it works great. ... show more

  • Finally, a lip balm that actually works (and doesn't make you look greasy)
As a guy, I've always found most lip balms pretty unappealing—they leave a shiny look that makes you feel self-conscious, almost like you're wearing lip gloss. But the La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Lip Balm B5 totally changed my mind. This stuff goes on clear and has a true matte finish, so there's no greasy shine or makeup look. My lips look natural and healthy, nothing flashy. I put it on in the morning, and it lasts for hours, only needing a touch-up after eating, brushing my teeth, or washing my face. Even in cold, dry weather, it keeps my lips moisturized and free of cracks. If you're a guy who usually avoids lip balm because of the shine, give this one a shot—it's discreet, effective, and actually something I don't mind carrying around. Highly recommend it. ... show more

  • Soothing, Long-Lasting Hydration for Dry, Sensitive Lips
This Cicaplast Lip Balm B5 by La Roche-Posay has worked wonders for my dry, cracked, sensitive lips. The formula feels lightweight and comfortable while delivering noticeable hydration almost immediately. It absorbs well without leaving a greasy or sticky residue, making it easy to use throughout the day or overnight. The combination of Shea Butter and Panthenol works beautifully to soothe and repair my lips’ natural moisture barrier. I have been using this balm for a few weeks now, and my lips feel noticeably softer, smoother, and more resilient - even in this harsh Winter weather. It’s especially helpful for lips that need more than just temporary relief, offering lasting comfort rather than constant reapplication. Being fragrance-free is a major plus, particularly for my sensitive skin. The gentle formula focuses on effective hydration without unnecessary additives, making it suitable for daily use and even during flare-ups of dryness. Overall, I am extremely impressed with the quality, formula, efficacy, and affordability of this lip balm. It delivers skin-soothing care in an effective formula, and has become my go-to staple for restoring moisture and keeping my lips healthy, comfortable, and well-protected. I just came back to purchase another tube, so I absolutely recommend! ... show more

  • Hydrating and gentle, but a bit small ✅
La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Lip Balm keeps my lips hydrated and soft. The texture is smooth and easy to apply, and it absorbs quickly without feeling sticky. It has no strong scent or taste, which is nice for daily use. It works well on dry or chapped lips, but I wish the tube was slightly bigger and the moisture lasted a bit longer. Overall, it’s gentle, effective, and a good quality lip balm. ... show more

  • Worth every penny
This is an incredible lip balm! I put it on before bed and wake up to very soft, hydrated lips. If its particularly dry out I've been wearing it during the day, letting it sit for a while and then layering my chosen lip color for the day over the top. This lipbalm has really changed the texture of my lips and I plan to continue to purchase it! ... show more

  • It’s okay!
It’s okay! Keeps my lips from being dry but I have to constantly apply. I’ve used better products at a cheaper price point.

  • Love this stuff!!!!
It’s pricey but worth it. I reapply less frequently and this stuff can survive huge drops in temperature. It feels good on the lips and there’s no menthol or anything that makes your lips tingle. It restores your lips’ natural color, and it stays on for a while. I love this stuff and plan to buy more. Better than Burt’s Bees, Elf, and chapstick. I think the only thing that might compare is the aquaphor lip balm. I like the consistency, texture, and the feel of it on my lips. I do wish it was bigger for the price but it’s still a great product. ... show more
