This formula is not at all greasy but in a very thick paste form. It isn't the easiest to spread on, but once on, it stays on and stays matte. My whole family has used this for the past few years especially around the T-zone and cheeks, and none of us ever experienced any skin irritation or trouble.

    • Understand, it’s a MAKEUP PRIMER, not a daily moisturizer
This is my absolute FAVORITE makeup primer. I think the negative reviews are from people who thought this would be a moisturizer. It is 100% NOT that. It is a silicone based makeup primer that’s meant to be worn over your moisturizer (after it has set) and before your liquid foundation. Now, because it is silicone based, your moisturizers cannot be water based, nor can your liquid foundation. Your moisturizer should be oil based, and so should your foundation that you are layering over it. Any water based foundations or moisturizers to come in contact with this and you will see a pilling result because OIL AND WATER DO NOT MIX. These are simple rules for liquids and it applies here too. As for it being a silicone based primer, yes it will feel “thick” because it’s supposed to. It is designed to work as a pore and line filler and set into place so that your liquid foundation can go on smoothly and with minimal texture. It does absolutely all of that and more by offering the SPF 50 component. It’s also free of white cast and photo flashback. I love this stuff, pricey yes, but it’s good enough for me to pay the price. I don’t care for SPF lower than 50 so this is perfect for me. ... show more

I can't say enough about this! This is my first tube, and I will be buying more! It's great for summer, it gives me a smooth matte finish without caking. Most days I'll just use this and really don't need foundation or powder, just a little blush and eye makeup.
