Decent costume piece, especially for the price. However, it arrived folded which left a very ugly crease in the "pleather" right in front. I took about a month of performing out in the sun and it almost disappeared, but never fully.

It does what it's supposed to---look like Viking armor, but it's not without flaws. The first is getting the creases out, which wasn't difficult, but took some time. The inner straps could be attached better as well, one popped off as I was trying to put on the armor and had to resecure it with a safety pin. From there, it was fine--it looks really good when you're wearing it and has a "real" feel. That being said, it's not the best with mobility. I found when I raised my arms higher than shoulder length, my throat would get jabbed by the leather in the neck hole like a very mild karate chop. Not a huge deal, but it was a minor annoyance. Also, it retains quite a bit of heat--if it's mildly warm outside, get ready to sweat. However, I did find the leather to be an easy tone to match with other components--I have some leather arm bracers that matched perfectly with these. Bought this for my husband for our friends Viking wedding, and it served its purpose. It is made very well, and fit perfectly. One thing I suggest you do is take it out of the package about a week before use, and put something heavy on the creases.
