Took me (1 senior woman) about a hour+ to assemble. Just as described and pictured. I Like the 4 material drawers as they each hold a lot and are letter size width. Nice black finish and black legs. Seems sturdy with the cross bars attached. Top has wiped off very nicely with a damp cloth and micro fiber towel. Attached a nice tall clip style lamp to the back. Good price for a super nice desk. The AODK L Shaped Desk is a great affordable option to upgrade a child's room. It was easy to assemble and provides ample workspace. However, buyer beware: the "drawers" are actually collapsible storage boxes with plastic handles, which may not meet expectations. Despite this, the desk itself is sturdy and stylish. Update: I wanted to add that I was very impressed with the customer service at AODK. After I left my original review, I was contacted directly by the company in an attempt to ensure my satisfaction with the desk. The instructions for putting together the item are detailed and very accurate. You can tell someone took the time to develop them. I found it helpful for another person to assist in putting the desk together. The overall look of the desk is nice and sturdy, especially for the price. I'd pay more for a desktop that was thicker and more substantial. Note that the drawers are fabric. They look nice and are great for items that don't weigh a lot. ... show more

It is pretty much as described. All parts were there and instructions to assemble were accurate. It was easy to do by myself and took maybe an hour. I am happy with it. My fault, not the product, but the desk isn't wide enough to my liking for the monitor. May look into adding a shelf or some sort of stand for the monitor. The package was sealed and packed well and maybe weighed 50 lbs. The first half of the manual is for the short leg of the L on the right side and the second half for the left side. There’s some good and bad to this desk. The good: - Fairly easy to put together, I did it by myself without needing an extra hand for anything. Directions are good - pretty large, dimensions are accurate - you can flip the shape of the “L” around to suit your needs while assembling it - desk comes with extra parts for each piece, tools are included. - package is well protected in transit The bad: - The shelves are a fabric material, I thought they would have been wood. You’re not going to be able to put a lot of weight in them - the “fit and finish” could be better. Keep your expectations in line with the price. It’s not a very expensive desk but I feel like for the price it could have been better. Feels kind of cheap. It will be fine for normal use, but I wouldn’t feel comfortable putting heavy objects on it. I don’t think I would buy it again, but it’s not bad. It’s assembled, it’s for a spare bedroom in my house, just didn’t blow me away. ... show more
