I've been doing sublimation for quite a while and wanted to cross over into doing actual DTF. I didn't want the expense of buying an EcoTank printer so I picked up an XP 15000 for several hundred dollars less. There are a few things that you need to do to modify this printer so it's able to use this ink. First you will need remove the roller bar to prevent smearing and then you'll need to hack the firmware so that you are able to operate chipless. It takes a little finesse but it's really not that hard if you follow the online instructions. The last step that you need to do is remap your cartridges. Because the XP 15000 ask cartridges for black, photo Black, cyan, magenta, yellow and grey you have to remap the cartridges in your computer for whatever order you load them in color. Once I got them up and running everything seems to be operating well. I went in expecting to have a lot of problems with the white ink because it seems that everybody has problems with white ink settling however I haven't had any problems with this white ink so I'm very surprised. Still always to be safe I do remove the white ink and give it a little jiggle then return it to the printer before printing. I also do seem to have a lot of waste and I'm not sure if it's just from the DTF process or the ink. The DTF process does lay down quite a bit. I was really shocked and impressed with the switch from sublimation to DTF. It's interesting how it lays down white ink first and then color on top of that. I use the DTF powder to cure under my heat press and then I'm able to press the design onto cotton t-shirts or towels or whatever we're doing. This ink is very vibrant. Because of the white I'm able to get so many more shades than you would with normal sublimation. It opens a whole new world. The colors are very crisp and stay very well after washing. I did not notice any cracking or any hardness but even if I had that's not a result of the ink but of the DTF powder and film. Overall I am super impressed with this ink and when it's time for a refill I can say I'll be getting this brand again. ... show more

This ink provides great value compared to the standard Epson cartridges. The colors are vibrant and prints are crisp. Transfer quality is excellent when pressing the ink onto fabric. The bottles make refilling the ecotank reservoir quick and mess-free.
