I bought this foundation for my goth makeup, and while I know that it is intended for a lightener to other foundations, it works just as well on its own. I had to layer it a bit to get a good solid look, but it feels light and looks very smooth and bright on the skin. I am happy with it!

If you make a mistake and buy the wrong shade or just have very fair skin, the white is great for mixing your own colors. Love this for the winter on my skin. Mixes well with the drugstore liquid foundations I’ve tried, dries kind of dewy? Depends on what you mix it with, but if you want a true matte finish you’d want to use another product to set it. I find on me having skin that’s dewy and too light makes me look kind of gross and sick if I’m going too minimal with the rest of my appearance but that’s just my experiences. I like to mix 1/3 of this and 2/3 another fair foundation so there is still warmth. If I want a more “alt” look that day I’ll use a bit more white and try to go more cool toned but use warm toned shades to sculpt, I think this is pretty trendy at the moment. So versatile and easy to use so use your own creativity and the options are endless. Unless you’re going for a more alternative or specific styled look though, I wouldn’t recommend using this on its own because it looks un natural, worse than using something that doesn’t match but is a bit warmer imo. Even when you dilute this with moisturizer. However it’s still so great because it’s so neutral it works well with additional warm and cool tones. I haven’t tried flash photography with using a combination with this but from the other images it looks like it doesn’t have an aluminum foil reflecting affect, if I find I look like a disco ball in a picture later on down the line I’ll share my update here lol. ... show more

I just wanted to use this as a white foundation for gothic looks, not as a shade mixer. i used an la colors brand primer with it. it definitely needed some setting spray/powder because it didn't really dry down much for me. i thought it was a bit sheer at first but the shade is white and it gets the job done. ... show more

If you are looking for a heavily pigmented stark white similar to face paint this isn’t for you, but it is an excellent white foundation! Make sure to set with powder and use primer for best results. I’m already quite pale but this adds the extra ‘deathly’ look I’m going for as a goth! :) Only reason I knocked a star off is because you do need quite a bit to achieve a ‘white’ and it tends to sort of run off if not decently powdered. ... show more
