This came fully assembled and ready to take the old struts out and pop in the new. Easy install videos to find on YouTube and after 2 months they ride great!!!! Would definitely recommend these for the quality, price, and ease of install. I have an 09 civic sedan and these fit great!!!

    • Great shock but missing top bushings from inside
Nice quality shock. Almost identical to OEM in appearance but feel it will outperform the original. After 110K miles on my Civic it was necessary for a replacement as the rear suspension felt bouncy especially when carrying back passengers. My OEM was not leaking but lost its original performance. One thing everyone should know if that the shock DOES NOT COME WITH TOP BUSHINGS! Monroe shocks do. I do not know why this is missing but what you see in the picture is exactly what you get. Thankfully my originals were still in excellent condition just to get the install done but will replace soon. Next time I will look for another shock manufacturer that DOES include a complete package of hardware and or bushings so as to not waste my time. ... show more

I choose the KYB Excel-G shocks and struts based off of recommendations from various Honda Civic forms. The price was right, a third the price that Honda quoted me for factory replacements. Ride is smooth and slightly firmer than what I remember when my 2006 Honda Civic LX rolled off the lot. I only have a month on these struts but expect them to last as long or longer then the factory parts they replaced. One recommendation is to do a four wheel alignment after replacing your suspension components. I am not a mechanic by trade but have been told repeatedly by various mechanics to have your wheels aligned after suspension and tire replacements. ... show more

    • Great product - good quality - you might have BIG problem to replace - I did
it should be easy 20 min job to swap those shocks but thanks to over engineered bottom mount it took me 3+ hours. The problem is that bolt fused into bushing an didn't give up. nothing worked - penetrating oil, heat wise grips - I've ended up cutting it all and we are talking 1.5" of steel in the uncomfortable place. So, you might order those bolts as well - I bought two after the first side and was right because the other side had to be cut as well. As far as product - I like it a lot! ... show more

Exact replacement for my 2009 Honda Civic EX Sedan. I learned the hard way and tried saving a little by going with Monroe first, bad mistake and a waste of my time. Do not go with anything else, these just work and you don’t have to second guess installation, very easy!
