When I saw this phone, and that it was also Unlocked, I was intrigued. But once I looked at the Spec's, I was sold and picked it up. I got this to be a backup for my Wife's phone but she thinks that she may well want to switch to this and hold her old phone as a backup. We will see. Her primary phone is a Samsung A53 and so that is the basis of my comparison. This phone is just slightly larger than the A53 and slightly heavier but these are not a big deal. While he screen is brighter on the A53, and the screen is still sufficiently bright to look at it while sitting outdoors. The phone itself is a very sturdy and well made and looks and feels like it will take a beating. The phone comes preloaded with just a couple of apps with Google as the default search engine. The phone does come with TikTok preloaded. Like I said, I use the Samsung A53 and although it is an Android phone, Samsung Android is just a bit different from this Android, but everything you would expect is there, you just sort of have to hunt for it. The display is crisp and clean and I would figure it has a 90hz refresh rate which is just fine. And the battery is massive and lasts longer than the A53. Nice. The camera is great and has features that the A53 does not have which she will have to play around with. This is our first Unlocked phone and I love the ability to switch carriers in an instant. I will be unlocking her A53 so that, should I need to, I can switch that sim over to this phone. I like that, were I to choose to, I could install dual sims for two numbers. This is also where you will install the expanded RAM which s expandable to 256gb. At this point, we are not going to enable the phone, so we are only using the WiFi. The WiFi is strong and setup was a breeze. Simply find your router and enter your password. Easy Peasy. Once you have the WiFi established, you can begin to load all of your apps. The sound quality is not bad at all but there is no equalizer that I could find. Given its price point, and all of the features and performance, I do what I rarely do, I Give This Product A Solid 5. At this price point, you have to be hearing "Too good to be true" in your ears. But, let's identify the PROs, which are impressive. • Fit and exterior finish and engineering seem good • Boot time isn't great, but it's OK • Menu customization by the manufacturer is similar to other Android clones, a good thing • The apps that would install, worked as expected • The tested model had 128GB. After installing around 30 additional apps, I was using around 20% of available RAM -- on day 1. Worrisome, but you can probably live with it at the price. But here are two worries. • Could not install a security patch. See screenshots. I tried the usual workarounds (dump cache for the playstore app, etc., reboot. Security patch level is dated 2023-06-05, and Google lists a January 2025 update as the latest. • The camera wouldn't read my 1PASSWORD QR code, nor could I register my fingerprint. Both have workarounds • The uninstalled security patch wasn't exactly hidden, but you have to know to go check for it, which casual users won't do. It didn't seem that it was going to try to self-patch, either -- but I'm not an Android developer, so I'm not sure. • Have multiple access points to test WiFi and most wouldn't stay connected -- though it's possible it was a setting that was getting "unstuck" -- unclear what this issue was about. Eventually found one that stayed connected long enough to start patching, which may have resolved the issue (?). I'll try to submit a ticket for the security issue and update you here if I learn more. ... show more

Having never used a Smart phone I bought this. But the smart folks that sent it failed to include a User Guide. Needless to say after emails and calls to India, I still don't have a user guide. Finally sent it back to Amazon, The c cameras never did work. Couln't get permissions loaded so they could be used. Not smart enough for a Smart phone with no User Guide. ... show more

As far as value phones go, this is a solid choice. I like the hardware, it has a decent processor inside, ample RAM, and a great battery. The screen size and quality is pretty good, and while it isn't going to compare to your brand new flagship phone, it gets the job done admirably. The camera is probably the weakest link, but again, you have to understand what you're getting and think of the value of the whole package. The downsides are on the software side. The latest security update failed to install for seemingly no reason. I've been trying to troubleshoot it to no avail, and while everything works, security is important so keep in mind that you may or may not be able to ever get future updates. A caveat is getting the phone to work on AT&T. I put my primary SIM card in and it registered and worked flawlessly. I later got a text from them saying the phone isn't compatible, despite clearly working normally. I tried a second AT&T SIM card (a newer 5G one) and that one refused to register and work. Called AT&T and they told me it's not compatible with the network, when I mentioned that I had no issues using it with my primary SIM they had no answer. I can't fault the phone for this since it definitely works on the network, but be aware AT&T doesn't officially support this phone. ... show more
