I needed a switch to share my Display Monitors, wired keyboard, keypad, mouse, headset w/mic & webcam between work PC and personal PC Towers. This switch is awesome! I used a Display port splitter to have 2 monitors with one input & I used a USB Hub to split the headset & webcam on one port & plugged the power cable into a USB brick to make sure it has enough electricity. I then tested the switch out several times and was so happy to find that everything works great between my 2 computers with a touch of the button. This allows me to have a smaller home office footprint by allowing me to switch between the 2 PCs and without having to unplug from one tower and plug in to the other one repeatedly. This switcher fits my needs perfectly. I am using two computers with a single ultrawide 5120x1440 monitor. Honestly, at this price point my expectations were very low. I am pleasantly surprised to report that for me it's performing flawlessly. Switching time is about 4 seconds. Switches 5120x1440 video and USB3 perfectly. No hiccups, glitches or flickers for me at all over the past four days. I like the included wired button. It allows me to mount the switcher under my desk and keep it out of the way. Daoistek DP 2.0 Single Port KVM The product description is terribly written and confusing. Amazon then combines reviews of dissimilar products sold on the same page with no way of filtering to just one of the products. I would recommend to the manufacturer to split the pages for these products and hire a tech writer with English as primary language to clean up the descriptions. I almost did not purchase this because of the above. My setup consists of a laptop and desktop with a single physical Display Port on each. I have two identical Dell monitors that support MST (Multi-Stream Transport, part of the Display Port 1.2 Standard), and they are daisy chained and configured for this style of operation - essentially one DP cable from PC to Monitor #1, and a DP cable from Monitor #1 going to Monitor #2. One cable from the PC gets you two monitor output in this way. My cables are VESA Certified as DP 2.0 standard. This switch is easy to set up and has fairly solid feeling construction. I do wish they provided a USB-C wall wart for the power rather than a USB-A to USB-C cable, but this is not a big deal. They provide two 1.5M DP cables, and two USB-A to USB-B-Male cables, a wired switch, and a little instruction book that is useless. This product switches the single physical Display Port signal to two monitors (MST) with no issues. It also switches a Microsoft Wireless Keyboard USB receiver with no issues. I have tried two other KVMs that had issues with one or the other. So far this thing is doing its job without flaws, and therefore I can recommend it highly. ... show more

Having tried a couple of others that randomly went dark and generally were not stable, this one has been perfect from the start. It's plug and play and includes everything you need. It even includes a corded remote (i.e. a button) that I thought was a gimmick, but I love it because I can put the KVM further away from things.
