It’s like $250 so what do you expect? But let me be honest it exceeded our expectations. Our 12 year old wanted a drum set and a real one didn’t work for our situation. When I first assembled this I thought it was for a 5 year old but when you get on it and play it, it is really good quality. And the sound can go through the headphones. Lowest priced one I could find and very happy with it.

First, the good: as someone who is getting into drums and needed an accessible, cheap, drum kit so I could start playing and practicing, this kit is perfect. I have a habit of getting into hobbies and then dropping them, so I wanted a drum kit that was cheap so I could enjoy myself without pressuring myself to stick with it long term. It is perfect for that; I am enjoying myself greatly with this kit. I also really do like the fact that this kit comes with literally everything I needed to get started: headphones, sticks, throne, and kit. And the kick drum pad really does add to the experience over being a simple pedal. Also, the kit was relatively simple and straightforward to set up. Here's the bad, though. Let's start with the quality; it's genuinely not good. Again, that's not really been a bother for me, as I'll take low quality drums over no drums and the price point is really unbeatable, but the quality is just poor. First, no matter how tightly I tighten the connection points for the frame, some do not lock into place. This is kind of annoying. For example, playing a beat that's primarily on the hi-hat starts to cause the entire bar holding the hi-hat to rotate in the joint, no matter how tight I tighten it, and so the hi-hat rolls millimeter by millimeter toward me with every stroke. Second, the sound quality is terrible for most of the built-in kits. The bundled headphones also are really really poor quality and sometimes buzz or crackle, as if there is a short in the wire somewhere. This was happening since the day I received the product. Also the kick drum pad's sensitivity seems really wonky. I usually turn up the sensitivity of the entire kit (which I have to do every time because your settings do not save when you turn off the control) just to be able to get a consistent sound out of the kick drum. Another thing to know is this kit lacks a LOT of functionality that experienced drummers will need: There is no choke function on the cymbals. Also, drums and cymbals seem to sense by vibration rather than pressure or touch, so there is no location sensing on any of the drum heads or cymbals (i.e., a snare hit is a snare hit regardless of if you hit the center of the drum pad, the edge, or the rim and a crash hit is a crash hit regardless of if you hit the edge or the bell). Additionally, the hi-hat control pedal only allows for open or closed, there is no modulating it halfway, as the hi-hat is fully digital and not stand-alone. Tl;dr - this kit has a few merits, but should be considered as an affordable starter kit for beginners or people on a budget *only.* The quality is too poor and the functionality is too lacking for it to be a serious consideration beyond that.
