I'm 37 and this is my first skate board. I got it so I can skate with my son. It's a great board so far. It's sturdy, great size for placing my size 10.5 feet. It has a nice amount of flex in the trucks for turning; not too stiff or too loose. I'm learning to skate on the side walk in front of my house and it rolls great. I just give a gentle push and get a goo 10 to 20 feet of roll (I weigh 210 lbs). I would highly recommend this board (especially at such a great price) to any beginner. ... show more

This skateboard is nice....purchased for Christmas for my grandson. He loves the color green and loves to skateboard. Nice quality, good board size for as they grow. A lot better quality, bigger in size then the ones you buy at the toy departments of Walmart, Target and the others who sell skateboards. My 11 year old got this for her birthday after asking for the last couple years for one. I finally gave in and she absolutely loves this skateboard. I am very pleased with it, I feel like I got something worth the price I paid and she feels like she has a real board and not a cheap one from a department store. I would buy this again, in fact one of her friends wants one now and I recomended this to her mom. If she doesnt buy it for her I might just buy it for her myself. ... show more

Well , I was so excited to see the board in the package on my stairs on the way back from school, i opened it up and it was wow, i loved the design. I tried it out and the trucks were a little too tight, but i loosened them up a bit and now their okay . but the board leans more to one side than the other. So i wouldn't say it's the best skateboard, but it's definitely a good starter board. Tricks are okay with this board , the most i could do was ollie, and i guess if you practice A LOT. then you'll manage to do the harder tricks with this board. Mostly meant for just cruising around on the streets. Has great speed since the wheels are smaller. But it's an okay board. If your looking for a good starter board while you save up for a pro skateboard this one's the one . Have fun! ... show more

    • Manufacturing defect right out of the box. They provided a full refund but beware.

This was a disappointment. I hate to say but I would have given it one star but they made it right and refunded the entire purchase price and didn't ask for the board back. The front tuck holes were not drilled correctly, slightly angled so the board would constantly curve hard to the right. My daughter was very upset because she was looking forward to skating with her friends. The company could not get a replacement to her so we opted for a refund. Not to allow my daughter to be heartbroken by bad quality control, I was able to "modify" the board so that it now runs true. Made my daughter super happy, and basically got a free board, but it should have been built correct out of the box. Plus I shouldn't have to drill and remount the trucks on a NEW board. Anyway, I guess if we got a good one it would have been great for a beginner. But the one that we got was unusable without fixing it. ... show more

Update: Just saw my kid wrote this update. I don't disagree with him, all the issues he lists were there. But realize he's pretty into skateboarding now and knows EXACTLY what he likes. This board MAY be suitable for you or your kid, especially if you're just getting into it and want to try it out for a low entry price. But it's the entryiest of entry-level boards! Original review: The griptape sucks so its hard to get air like for example on a real skateboard i can ollie up to 2 feet on this i cant get higher than 3 inches. The trucks are misalligned so at least 1 wheel is not touching the ground at all times. Pulls strongly to the left. The wheels of my tech deck spin longer than these ones do. Very slow board. Also the design is very thin tried one boardslide and it scraped down to the wood. Started delaminating the first week i got it. It also chips very easily. Impossible to drop in on. ... show more
