Description

Kreg Multipurpose Project Blocks are the perfect way to support, hold, and work on projects anywhere. These incredibly versatile blocks elevate your material to sit 1-1/2" above the work surface for convenient sanding, finishing, routing, and much more. The Blocks feature a GripMaxx™ surface on each face – one side to grip your workpiece, and one side to prevent the Blocks from moving around on your workstation. That’s great for tasks like sanding when you don’t want anything slipping and sliding. Elevating the material makes routing edges easier with added clearance for the router bit. The height also gives clamps room to fit the clamp head under the workpiece – which is useful for drilling pocket holes or assembling your project. When it comes to painting or finishing, use the retractable painting point with GripMaxx™ for a little extra height. Just twist the project block to raise the point to rest your material on – the painting points won’t even stick to it or ruin your finish.

  • I wish I got these sooner!
I absolutely love these! I wish I got them on day one of wood working. They are a must have. They make sanding a finishing super easy!

  • Great soft painting points
Yes, they're sometimes difficult to twist and bring the painting points up or down but you figure out where to squeeze and it's not much of an issue. Yes, they're overpriced and not too "solid" (like the Rockler bench cookies). But the best thing about them is the softness of the rubber-tipped painting points. I was finishing two cabinet doors and set one door on top of 4 of these and the other door on top of 4 Rockler cookies with their hard plastic painting points. The downward pressure I applied wiping poly with a cotton rag created awful gouges on the underside of the door resting on the Rockler points (I had to use the steam iron trick to fix them) but the door resting on the rubbery Kreg points was free from any mars. For this reason, I'm buying another set of 4. But if you're not using the points (like for sanding or routing) the Rockler cookies are "grippier" and more stable. Hope this helps! ... show more

  • Work great
These projects blocks are great. I use them for all kinds of things when I’m doing projects. The grip on them securely hold your work piece in place. When I need to route the edges of a board I can just set it on these blocks and holds the board in place while I route around it. I don’t have to worry about clamping it my bench, routing a side, unclamping, rotating clamping again…you get the point. I just put the board on these and easily route around all four side. I use the for sanding as well. I try to keep the top of my workbench clean but always get something on it. Sometimes I don’t see things on the top and they transfer to my work piece. With these project blocks I can keep whatever I’m working on up off the bench top and don’t need to worry about something transferring to or scratching or marring the bottom of the board. When you extend the points on the project blocks, you can use these for painting staining, etc. The points are fine enough that when you flip your work piece over and work on the opposite side no marks are left by the point. I use these often and think they are a great timesaver over clamping/unclamping things to my bench. ... show more

  • Very difficult to twist 0pen
