  • Looks expensive without breaking the bank - Fantastic upgrade to a 20 year old kitchen.
Style: Single Bowl Drop In Sink Color: Gray
I bought this sink for my wife with the pictured faucet as a birthday gift. Both are Kraus. I, having never installed a kitchen sink, was a little apprehensive about the install. I did all my research and made one trip to Home Depot for the things needed to install (Tail piece extension for plumbing modification, silicone, PVC cutter, Kraus drain cover, plumber's putty and a 5mm underlayment to cover up the water damaged flooring of the cabinet - it's temporary). I also got a new Insinkerator disposal mounting kit with gasket for disposal because the other one was scratched and worn. I got back home and proceeded to remove the 20 years worth of cleaners and stuff from under the sink. My hope was that the plumbing would line up perfect where my existing sink drain was and that the sink would fit perfect in the opening. Once I got the old out and dry fit the new sink there was a sigh of relief. The contractor cut the opening slightly larger than they should have for the prior sink so the new sink just barely fit and covered. It's close but it is covered. I had to use the black spacers that come with the sink install kit in order to tighten it down to the counter top. After dry fitting several times and making sure I had everything in order I ran one bead of clear silicone around the perimeter of the sink and set it in the opening. I adjusted it from side to side and front to back to make sure it was exactly where it needed to be then I started tightening down the mounting clamps. I like the hardware the sink comes with - the mounting clamps fasten to the sink with phillips head screws before you install then all you have to do is spin the clamp 45 degrees and tighten the phillips screws to snug it to the counter top. I tightened the screws like you would a wheel on a car - then I went around and snugged them down. I installed the disposal next and the tail piece lined up perfect with the p-trap as I had hoped it would. I measured and cut the tail piece and buttoned up the plumbing. Then I installed the faucet which is super easy. Drop it in the hole, tighten the nut hand tight then there are two locking screws with phillips head. After that all you have to do is hook up your water supply lines and turn the water back on. The description says you need a 36" wide cabinet but you can see in the images my cabinet is 34.5" inside and it fits perfect. There was plenty of room to mount the clips - you will need a long #2 phillips screwdriver. It also comes with the hardware for an under mount if that fits your application. It comes with a drain as well if you do not have a disposal. The sink comes with knock outs for a soap dispenser or air gap. I ordered the Kraus faucet with air gap because it was the only spot free stainless option. I did not use the air gap. I ran a loop up higher than where the line feeds into the disposal (found that handy info on YouTube) and zip tied it to one of the mounting clamps to hold it. All in all she loves it. The Kraus faucet with this Kraus sink is a perfect match. The sink is solid and seems to be very well made. The faucet feels high quality / heavy. The basin of the sink is huge compared to what we had and she loves the single drain on the right - you have a lot more surface area to use in the sink. She can now fit an entire pot, skillet or cookie sheet in the sink without it hanging out the top. This was a nice, inexpensive upgrade. When I ordered both items the faucet was $209 and the sink was $206. Both items arrived days earlier than Amazon promised so that was a bonus. We love the sink and not a single thing went wrong during the install. Everything went exactly the way I wanted. Not the way I expected which would have been just short of a disaster like most projects around here. The Kraus faucet I installed is the KPF-1610SFS - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0956JW96Z/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&th=1 If you are looking for something that won't break the bank but looks like it did - this is a great combo. Everyone who has seen it says "I don't even want to know what that cost". I was looking at stainless sinks before I found this one and I'm so glad we went this route over stainless. It is top notch. Five stars for sure. ... show more

  • a great update to 20 year old kitchen
Style: 50/50 Double Bowl Sink Color: Gray
Just finished installing our new Kraus sink. So much richer looking than the stainless-steel unit we had. Arrived in perfect shape. Was skeptical about retaining brackets but found them super easy to use and secured the sink well. Our counter top thickness is almost 2". Time will tell whole story but appears to be well crafted and hopefully durable. ... show more

  • My Favorite!
Style: Single Bowl Drop In Sink Color: Black
Very beautiful and elegant, it gives the kitchen a modern touch. The material feels durable and easy to clean, it doesn’t stain or scratch easily. Installation was simple, and so far I’m very satisfied with this purchase.

  • Best sink ever!
Style: 50/50 Double Bowl Sink Color: Gray
I just moved and did a partial kitchen remodel including replacing the stainless steel sink with this one. I had the same sink in the home I moved from and loved it so much that I absolutely had to get another one for the new house. No stains, no water marks, super strong and durable. I never worry about putting hot pans in the sink. Best of all, it looks beautiful. I would highly recommend to anyone replacing a stainless steel or porcelain sink. ... show more

  • Best sink ever!!!
Style: Single Bowl Drop In Sink Color: Black
I’m OBSESSED with my new Kraus black granite sink. I picked the single, side drain as my favorite option, seseo single bowl, to replace a double-sink that I hated because you couldn’t fit even 1 pot inside to hand wash it. This Kraus single bowl sink can fit 3 pots at once!! My husband installed it himself, it took about 5 hours and 2 trips to Home Depot. The biggest issue was drilling out the optional hole on the side corner for the built-in soap dispenser. This required a special diamond-head circle drill which cost $60 and $20 for the adaptor. Annoying but worth it to have the soap dispenser. It is heavy and sturdy. We tested the drilled-out piece by scratching and taking sharp knives to it, it barely made a scratch so it’s very durable. It comes with adjusters and clamps to hold it in place (we used the top-mount option). Overall the best sink I’ve ever owned in a house. It’s beautiful and functional!! My only issue is the Kraus sticker logo is not centered , so it looks stupid misaligned from the faucet. I’ll call Kraus and have them send me a new logo so I can rip the crooked one off. ... show more

  • Beautiful sink. *Update
Style: 50/50 Double Bowl Sink Color: Black
Due to some limitations I couldn't get around I had to find a different sink than what I really wanted. This is the sink I ended up purchasing, with reservations. So many reviews talked about receiving the sink cracked or damaged, etc. and I just wasn't wanting to deal with it. But, I really needed to replace my sink, so I placed the order and crossed my fingers. I was surprised I got it a day before expected (very nice), and not a single mark/crack on it! Fairly easy to install, just had to grind off (used a Dremel) the raised clamp numbs on the front and back, filled the underside channel with clear silicone caulking, and popped it right into the existing hole in the counter. Perfect! It's been in for about a week now, and so far, it's really nice. The sink bowls are huge! I also particularly like the sparkly mica flecks in it. (I purchased the sink in black) It's quiet, cleans easily, and looks really good in my kitchen. Although it's not what I truly wanted, I'm not having regrets settling for it. I'd recommend it if someone was considering buying a new sink. *Update: I’ve had this sink awhile now and I’m still mostly pleased with it, but I did want to add for anyone who might be considering it that unless you’re prepared to do some regular maintenance it’s going to look terrible in a short amount of time. It develops a white-ish haze that requires a good cleaning (use Dawn dish detergent to break down grease and grime). Then use a lint-free cloth to coat with Mineral Oil (only thing you can use), let sit for at least an hour or longer, then wipe excess off. Be sure to dry sink throughly after doing dishes, too. Depending on the regularity of your dish washing, you may have to do this clean/oil treatment weekly. I do mine monthly and leave the mineral oil overnight. ... show more
