  • Looks expensive without breaking the bank - Fantastic upgrade to a 20 year old kitchen.
Style: Single Bowl Color: Gray
I bought this sink for my wife with the pictured faucet as a birthday gift. Both are Kraus. I, having never installed a kitchen sink, was a little apprehensive about the install. I did all my research and made one trip to Home Depot for the things needed to install (Tail piece extension for plumbing modification, silicone, PVC cutter, Kraus drain cover, plumber's putty and a 5mm underlayment to cover up the water damaged flooring of the cabinet - it's temporary). I also got a new Insinkerator disposal mounting kit with gasket for disposal because the other one was scratched and worn. I got back home and proceeded to remove the 20 years worth of cleaners and stuff from under the sink. My hope was that the plumbing would line up perfect where my existing sink drain was and that the sink would fit perfect in the opening. Once I got the old out and dry fit the new sink there was a sigh of relief. The contractor cut the opening slightly larger than they should have for the prior sink so the new sink just barely fit and covered. It's close but it is covered. I had to use the black spacers that come with the sink install kit in order to tighten it down to the counter top. After dry fitting several times and making sure I had everything in order I ran one bead of clear silicone around the perimeter of the sink and set it in the opening. I adjusted it from side to side and front to back to make sure it was exactly where it needed to be then I started tightening down the mounting clamps. I like the hardware the sink comes with - the mounting clamps fasten to the sink with phillips head screws before you install then all you have to do is spin the clamp 45 degrees and tighten the phillips screws to snug it to the counter top. I tightened the screws like you would a wheel on a car - then I went around and snugged them down. I installed the disposal next and the tail piece lined up perfect with the p-trap as I had hoped it would. I measured and cut the tail piece and buttoned up the plumbing. Then I installed the faucet which is super easy. Drop it in the hole, tighten the nut hand tight then there are two locking screws with phillips head. After that all you have to do is hook up your water supply lines and turn the water back on. The description says you need a 36" wide cabinet but you can see in the images my cabinet is 34.5" inside and it fits perfect. There was plenty of room to mount the clips - you will need a long #2 phillips screwdriver. It also comes with the hardware for an under mount if that fits your application. It comes with a drain as well if you do not have a disposal. The sink comes with knock outs for a soap dispenser or air gap. I ordered the Kraus faucet with air gap because it was the only spot free stainless option. I did not use the air gap. I ran a loop up higher than where the line feeds into the disposal (found that handy info on YouTube) and zip tied it to one of the mounting clamps to hold it. All in all she loves it. The Kraus faucet with this Kraus sink is a perfect match. The sink is solid and seems to be very well made. The faucet feels high quality / heavy. The basin of the sink is huge compared to what we had and she loves the single drain on the right - you have a lot more surface area to use in the sink. She can now fit an entire pot, skillet or cookie sheet in the sink without it hanging out the top. This was a nice, inexpensive upgrade. When I ordered both items the faucet was $209 and the sink was $206. Both items arrived days earlier than Amazon promised so that was a bonus. We love the sink and not a single thing went wrong during the install. Everything went exactly the way I wanted. Not the way I expected which would have been just short of a disaster like most projects around here. The Kraus faucet I installed is the KPF-1610SFS - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0956JW96Z/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&th=1 If you are looking for something that won't break the bank but looks like it did - this is a great combo. Everyone who has seen it says "I don't even want to know what that cost". I was looking at stainless sinks before I found this one and I'm so glad we went this route over stainless. It is top notch. Five stars for sure. ... show more

  • BEAUTIFUL, STYLISH AND DEEP
Style: Double Bowl 60/40 Color: Black
Just had my sink installed. It is beautiful. I was worried because I've never had a black sink before. As I replaced appliances, black seemed to takeover the frig and the glass stove top so why not a black sink. It's deep and stylish in that it is not a square with sharp corners. It feels stonelike but yet it doesn't seem to be as hard a surface as say porcelain. So I didn't line the bottom with a rack or rubber mat to cushion the bottom and prevent breakage and so far it seems fine. When the light shines directly on it you can notice tiny sparkles which I think will look nice with my new solid surface countertop when it gets installed. I now need to find out about the does and don't regarding cleaning it. ... show more

  • Omg the upgrade!!!
Style: Single Bowl Color: Black
Y’all!!!! The upgrade to my kitchen in the home I just bought is amazing with this sink. It was a fraction of the cost on Amazon opposed to the big box stores. I followed the directions, used some construction adhesive and voila!!! It’s amazing, I love this sink and everything about it. The only thing I would say I had trouble with, is the mounting under the cabinet. Some of the screws would not tighten correctly, but not a big deal as I used the adhesive, but I wouldn’t take any stars away bc of it, I probably did something to loosen them to much and couldn’t get the sink back off. But oh well. Amazing, if you’re thinking about it, just do it! ... show more

Quality sink for the price looks really good. Didn’t have any problems putting it together. Bought as a gift for my sons housewarming. although I was disappointed the way the delivery went. The overall product was great.

  • Installation unnessarily complicated ...
Style: Double Bowl 60/40 Color: Gray
Great sink, easy to clean, will last for a long time. I installed the gray color version as a drop in to replace a 20 year old cast iron sink in a butcher block counter top. The sink includes raised tabs around the flange with holes in each for using metal tabs to secure the sink to the counter top. Several of the raised tabs did not have holes and several of the tabs had malformed holes. The tabs are absolutely useless, don't use them, use a bead of silicone caulk between the counter and the sink flange. I find it amazingly stupid that a sink mfg would recommend securing a drop in sink using this method. In my situation the sink fit fine in the existing opening however the raised tabs prevented the flange from sitting flush to the counter top. Since enlarging the hole in this countertop was not viable, I used a grinder with tile cutting wheel to easily cut the raised tabs flush to the flange. ... show more

  • Nice quality, non marking
Style: Double Bowl 50/50 Color: Gray
I have had this for about a month and was most concerned about marks or scratches showing in the sink’s surface. I’ve washed my dog in there (no scratches), pots, pans, etc., and can’t see any visible sign of use. It’s so nice! Installed myself, top mount, no too hard, directions a little confusing but somewhat intuitive if you just play with the bracket for a bit. There are pre-formed places for sink bracket anchors that I just didn’t realize were there for a while. ... show more
