They don't have the support of a running shoe but I'm a little overweight and I have not issues with foot discomfort after 3 hours of bowling each week. The shoe is lightweight, comfortable and true to size. Great fit. Never bowled with it because of just trying it for fit (Try Before You Buy program). However, I received the shoe used - sole is very dirty. This shoes has permanent slide sole on both shoe. I was planning to put a shoe cover (traction cover) on the other shoe to make it right. My husband reports that he LOVES his new bowling shoes! He takes a size 11, so we ordered a size 11, and they fit like a glove. He especially loves the mesh upper. Says it conforms to his foot and is like wearing a sock with a sole. He says he slides just fine when throwing the bowling ball, too. It's lightweight, has good arch support, looks pretty cool, and fits comfortably. What's not to love! For a bowling shoe, it's kind of pricey, but you gotta be comfortable.
