They most certainly provided relief, and were even durable enough to withstand decent rainfall later when guests had to slog to cars parked at a distance. They're a great size, the color's perfect, and the structure is better than I anticipated. They are paper, of course, they're not going to stand up to a sandstorm - but it's good thick paper and the handle and boning is pretty solid.

Very fragile...had to modify it a few time due to a prong breaking and then stabbing through the paper but after removing the prong and patching the rip, it functioned fine!
