This bookcase is ADORABLE! I assembled it myself at about 7-8 months pregnant, and I'd say it was fairly simple to put together and included all the hardware it needed, just need a basic screwdriver if you don't like the one included. It took maybe 1-2 hours to set up (probably closer to 1, I can't quite remember-- mom brain!) It holds a TON of books and weight. The top is amazing for decor, a humidifier, projector, more toys, or just some extra daily necessities. We put it next to the rocker to hold cups and bottles, as well as a few decorative items, and it's perfect. It's super sturdy, never wobbles, despite us putting a ton of heavy books in it. Super functional, love the bottom section for toy storage. I think it's pretty scratch-resistant? There isn't much in the nursery to cause scratches haha! ... show more

It was a little complicated to start putting together, but once I got going it was easy to finish. It feels nice and sturdy and came with an anti-tip strap to screw into a stud in the wall, which was great! It’s very spacious, I love the shelf at the top. Overall I’m very pleased.
