I have gone through so many house flag stands and have had to pitch due to rust. They are NOT cheap and are hard to find. The last one I had lasted less than a year and it cost me over $80...rusted out all over and just collapsed. I saw this one and the price was very affordable. I risked buying it even with some of the less than favorable comments. I received it within 2 days and am very impressed with the sturdiness and quality. Although the design is simple it appears to be well made and was very easy to assemble. I am using it to display house flags, 28" x 40", so didn't have to use all of the pieces for height...only used 3 out of the 7 so I have spares if I ever need to replace. I would like to have had a smaller piece, 1/2 length of the horizontal pieces since the house flag is narrower than the usual 3'x5' flags, but it still looks fine. My house flags do not have grommets but instead has a fabric stitched with a hole inside each top end that slides onto the pole. I used the carabiner hooks and fed through each hole so now the flag will never get blown off the bar. Overall I am VERY pleased and highly recommend. If quality begins to decline over time, I will edit my review.

This flag holder is easy to assemble and fairly sturdy. The extending poles are approximately 15 inches in length. I used four extension poles and the flag arm is 67 inches from the ground and 70 inches to the top of the Deco Ball. I recommend fully assembling the flag pole before pounding the 5 prong base into the ground because the four spider spikes bend fairly easy. I started by pounding the spike base in first which was a big mistake. I had to remove it and assemble the flag holder and when I pounded it back in with a rubber mallet two of the prongs bent, and I had to remove it gain and straighten the prongs out. Thankfully, the welds didn't break. Depending on the height of the pole, you most likely will need help installing it. While the flag pole is fairly sturdy, the flag pole rings and carabiner clips are plastic. The extension poles are powder coated and rust proof. This flag pole is decent and can hold a 28 X 40 flag with loops / tabs or you can use some Cinch Tite flag clips or tarp clips for flags without attachment tabs or grommets. Update: After some strong winds, one of the original carabiner clips broke. The clips that come with the flag pole are 1.9 inches long and 1 inch wide near the bottom of the clip. For anyone needing to order replacement clips, the Swatom Aluminum Carabiner Clip 1.9 Inches Spring Snap Hook Keyring Carabiners Keychains Black work. I love our new flag pole stand. It is height adjustable and very sturdy with four legs to push down into the earth to steady it. The pole sections and flag holder section all screw together very tightly and securely.

I love this flag holder for our lanai! I was concerned that the top flag pole would be too long for a seasonal decorative flag because it is made for a flag which is 3’ x 5’. I just used two of the top poles and adjusted the carabiners to fit my seasonal flag of 28” x 40”. As you can see from my picture I just used some of the vertical poles for height and placed the flag pole in an umbrella stand with some foam to fill up the hole. It seems to work perfect to decorate our lanai. Thanks to all of the kind people that answered my question on Amazon. Your help was greatly appreciated!!
