These last 2-3 years if you treat them right. Pulling the old one off is rough, but can be done with 99% IA safely (70% IA doesn't work, I tried). You can get all the old residue off and bring the controller back to original condition before installing the new pads. They make a big difference, particularly if you have larger hands like I do. I bought the XT (extra-thin) version of this product. I also cycle my gameplay between 3 controllers. So after a month of use, I have to say this product works well. It keeps the grip for my hands, when my hands start to get sweaty with fast-paced games like CoD MW2. And the thin rubber material hasn't peeled away or ripped when my grip flexes. If I was to give any recommendations, it would be more colors to choose from and possibly an easier install method as I had to redo the install 3x on parts of the controller to get everything to fit well. UPDATE: The grips are still going strong on my controller after nearly a year of constant use. Nothing has ripped, torn, or worn off. It looks and feels great, however, do not buy this product for the dualsense edge, which is what I did and I quickly found out that it wasn't going to work. I ended up putting it on one of my regular dualsense controllers instead.

I’ve written two reviews in my life. Just trying to save people the headache of buying these. Buy the Lizard Skin brand instead !!!!! The kontrol freaks are poor quality, thin, and are prone to creases all over the place. I’m a fan of kontrol freak sticks but these grips are terrible. I went to take the kontrol freak skin off the controller to put the lizard skins on and the amount of residue left was insane! They literally advertise no residue and I had to get goo gone and a damn steel Brillo pad to rub the crap off my controller. The lizard skins are almost the same price, go on super easy, feel much better/ more grip, and no creasing. ... show more
