  • This Slider is GOLD! 5 star all the way! Silent as a ghost!
Color: 60cm (23.6")
I meant to write the review awhile since last year but forgot. I bought another brand, looks like a stick that moves, their motor slider built in battery died, and their customer service company failed me so I decided to get a proper slider instead! I found this Konova brand via a youtube review video! What a game changer! It comes with an app that lets you program the timing of the sliding and direction. It was easy to use and super smooth! I use it with some old battery for my other led lighting gear. The motor was super silent!!! I don’t know who gave this slider 1 o 2 stars! it is Balony! This product is gold!!! Mark my words, you’ll be very happy with it. I highly recommend! I shot a few videos in Thailand with it. Matches the quality of the more expensive brand at a fraction of a price! Light weight as well. Functions very smoothly! ... show more

  • This product is useless
Color: 80cm (31.5")
So apparently the app that controls this slider doesn't work on current version of iOS which means I have no way of controlling this slider which literally makes it completely useless. This is absolutely unacceptable. How can you sell a product in 2024 that won't work with any modern devices. Blows my mind. ... show more

  • Motor noise audible, not smooth tracking, no delay on relay mode to add handles to shot, etc.
Color: 80cm (31.5")
1. Motor whine is audible on camera mic mounted on sled in quiet room. Other reviews mention how quiet it is. This is a matter of how loud the ambient noise or room tone in each instance. Either other reviewers are lying, or they are not considering room tone, or they're not measuring noise at the slider sled, or they're just plain wrong. If you are shooting in a quiet room, and your microphone is near the sled, you're going to have to deal with possible clean up in post. Make sure you have plenty of room tone with the slider in motion during your shoot so you can sample the noise in post for proper reduction. 2. Noticed some jerky movement along slider path in both directions. Mild but noticeable on play back. My test was based on a small camcorder which was about 2 pounds in weight and the movement was strictly lateral. Konova disputes this. 3. App does not control speed directly, but control is determined by setting beginning and ending points, and time duration for shot. App does not provide setting based on inches or mm, but based on setting sled in position A, then moving sled to position B. 4. App does not permit length of ramp down or ramp up. Automatically set at prescribed interval. 5. App does not permit speed of ramp up or down. Automatically set at prescribed speed. 6. On relay mode, reverse direction starts immediately after ramp down. No "handle" permitted at end of motion. Including a "handle" is a basic shooting technique for all moving shots, panning or sliding, that the operator always provides a beat or two at the end of the motion, which this slider does not provide. To overcome this, the "relay" feature cannot be used. Simply shoot your lateral move in one direction, give the camera a couple of beats, then begin the reverse motion manually on the app. Try this while you're interviewing your subject. This would probably be impossible, so that would defeat the purpose of the slider to eliminate a second shooter. The whole ordeal is preposterous. 7. The parallax feature does not keep the subject "in frame" while spanning the full distance of the slider. The subject will go out of frame during most of the slide movement. This defeats the purpose of a parallax shot of a subject in either the foreground or the midground. 8. Konova tech support acknowledges this parallax limitation and suggests the addition of the Z2 wireless motorized pan head to correct this "framing" issue. See the many examples of this limitation in YouTube video reviews. No one mentions this in their explanation, but they show how the parallax doesn't work to keep the subject in frame. 9. The very obvious limitation is the existence of the phone app itself. In actual practice, this is a huge limitation to have to tie up your cell phone to operate the slider. No one mentions this in their reviews. One might wish they had two cell phones, one for this app and one for all other uses. 10. When the wireless motorized pan head is added the rig, presumably to remedy the limited parallax issue, it introduces a whole other layer of complexity for the set up of the shot. That additional work takes a while to accomplish, to get the head movement to track with the parallax movement of the slider to keep the subject in frame. In my opinion, that level of complexity during set up is a deal killer because it takes too much time and effort to get just right, all the while your subject is waiting for the shoot to start. To avoid this, you might want to employ a stand-in, but that defeats the purpose of having an automatic slider, doesn't it? So the whole set up is a mess of complication to eliminate the use of another camera op who would use a manual slider. 11. This particular Amazon seller was gracious and prompt in allowing my return and processing my refund. 12. Konova tech support is currently provided by email to and from Korea. There is a time difference, of course, which adds to the delays in communication, but otherwise the support is courteous and responsive. I spent quite a bit of time and effort with tech support, and never encountered a problem with their patience with me. I'm sorry this was such an ordeal, because they wasted a lot of time with me trying to work things out. So did i, but i learned a lot about the practical aspects of using a motorized slider to shoot interviews without a second shooter. In my case, it doesn't work. plain and simple. 13. The degree of panorama and parallax movement allowed by the slider is dependent upon and controlled by the distance between the two rails. If the rails were further apart, meaning the slider were wider, then the adjustment for parallax and panorama would increase to allow greater range to keep the subject in frame (parallax) and permit a wider scope of view for the panorama. If you turn the slider around, the panorama becomes the parallax and visa versa. 14. The outer length of the slider is about 30.5". It is described by Konova as a 31" slider for purposes of general category of sliders. However, it is misleading because the rails are much shorter than the outer length, and the actual travel of the carriage is just a bit over 24" distance. No mention of this in either the product description or any of the reviews i've seen to date (July 2022). 15. Once the settings are made, when the power if turned off, the settings are not saved. That means you have to start all over again every time you shut down the app. In a real shooting situation, this is a definite disadvantage. 16. After i purchased this slider, i realized that many other sliders use what seems to be the identical motor, but for the manufacturer's badging. It seems to me that this motor is a universal product that many slider vendors use. I was not aware of this when purchasing the Konova slider. I thought it was their proprietary product. Therefore, it would seem reasonable to expect that an identical motor would produce the same result. ... show more

  • Bueno
Color: 80cm (31.5")
Me parece muy bueno precio vs función, pero no se puede hacer el tracking normal, porque para hacer el tracking toca comprar un Head aparte para que pueda hacer esa función del tracking, y en la página no la venden, ni se consigue por ningun lado.

This is by far my best video camera investment I have added to my inventory. It has taken my video production to the next level. I highly recommend that you use two tripods.
