  • It works fine as a practice instrument
Color: Black
The built-in speakers for this keyboard are poor. If you use a small powered speaker (for example, bluetooth, connected with 1/8" stereo cable), it's considerably better. If you use decent headphones connected for output, even better. I have used it with an external amplifier, and I found that ok. But the sound for such purpose will not rival a decent Casio or Yamaha keyboard - but I bought the keyboard for purposes of using it as a practice piano while traveling, and it serves that purpose well. Folded, the keyboard has a length of 24". It has bluetooth receive - as result, if you use an accompaniment app like Irealpro, you can send it from your phone and hear the accompaniment as you play, which I find very useful. I like that the keys provide some resistance, forcing the use of muscles of your fingers, somewhat similar to an acoustic piano. It has a wide variety of sounds and rhythms. After a few weeks, the zipper on the bag broke, and because I use a very heavy book (a jazz Real Book, publisher Hal Leonard) the keyboard music stand kept falling out. I wedged some paper into the slots on the keyboard for the music stand, to keep it in place - and the music stand broke off where the pegs for the keyboard enter the keyboard (I managed to pull those pegs by drilling a shallow hole in the pegs with a drill, VERY carefully, then screwing in a shallow screw, and lifting it out with a pair of pliers). I should add here that for normal size music books, the stand with the keyboard seems to work fine. I got in touch with the seller, but they did not have any spare bags or music stands for the keyboard. I then got in touch with Konix. I have to say that they have really helpful customer service people. They sent me out a new bag (with a better zipper) and a new music stand. It was shipped from Hong Kong, and arrived in 2 weeks! I am impressed with their service. Final note - if you're using an especially heavy book, like the jazz Real Book by Hal Leonard, change the center of gravity as the book rests on the stand. I did this with a 3/4" thick piece of pine, about the length of the music stand, attached to the top of the music stand, facing you. I attached it with masking tape for now to make sure it works (it seems to). I hope this info is helpful! ... show more

  • Worth the money!
Color: Black
updated review Pros: Foldable and light weight. Keys sound and feel great . REC button is great. Connected old cambridge external speaker and the sound perfect. You can record whilst you play and listen immediately. You have to place it on a flat surface or it creaks. The sheet music holder is very sturdy. Sound when you select sustain function is just as good as using the pedal. Holds full battery charge for about one day. Cons: LCD screen is too far to the left. You have to lean over to see screen. The LCD screen must be in the middle near the middle C. Reducing metronome and demo volume is via bluetooth on cell phone. (They are set at default level of 12. ) Selecting a function with the knob button tricky. Once you learn its rather simple. Does not work with wireless head phone. Every now and then one note will sound extremely loud. Still trying to figure out the issue. MP3 slot is supposed to also connect external speaker. did not work. Over all its worth the money. The keys sound and feel better than a Rock Jam( 54 key) i have. I will update after a couple of weeks. ... show more

  • As Advertised
Color: Black
Disclaimer: I'm a professional classical pianist. I purchased this as something easily transportable in order to teach lessons at a senior center. For that purpose, and for the purpose of a beginner who's not ready to commit to a more expensive instrument, you can't beat this price. That being said, the touch isn't great, the sound is pretty bad and not accurate to a real piano (also doesn't get very loud)--I wouldn't even practice on this. Basically, you get exactly what you pay for. ... show more

  • Fits in overhead compartment just fine
Color: Black
I have the foldable 88-key on tour with me, and it fits in the overhead compartment on a plane just fine. I saw someone mention that it doesnโ€™t. My only complaint is that I cannot reach the company to replace the music rack. The nibs that hold it onto the keyboard broke off. The email address listed for the company is either incorrect or not active. ... show more

  • Too long for carry-on
Color: Black
This piano folded nicely and fit in a carry bag. Made it easy to carry but the folded piano is too big to go on a plane as a carry-on. I replaced it with the 61 key Fverey. The fverey meets requirements for carrying on a plane and it has better speakers and sounds better. Both have many sounds but all we wanted is a piano. ... show more

  • Not great for learning.
Color: Black
It covers all the bases for what it is advertising. On the other hand the bag is too cheap to use and the sound is terrible. Even with the headphones. I got it while it was on sale so I don't feel ripped off but this is not great for practice. The notes are too far off from what it should sound like. ... show more

  • Impressive
Color: Black
The keyboard is really nice It folds as described and easy to set up plays musically well and seems to be exactly everything it says it is. From the keys to the spacing, the sound and clarity was impressive. I would recommend this to anyone who is learning or wanting to learn the piano
