Its not a bad tank and I do like the lights. I haven't had any issues with the filter. There is an odd cloud ring around the top inch or so of the bowl. The lid doesn't really allow you to add accessories easily and I use a tank heater for my betta. I had to run the power cord through the flap opening so now that doesn't close.     • The top hole is too small for feeding.
I like to spread the food around for the different kinds of fish I have. You have to remove the entire top and place it somewhere else.

We got this for our Betta, we added a couple of ghost shrimp and a snail. All seems to be well only thing I’m not fond of is, the bowl is plastic and will cave in if you are moving it full of water. Plastic isn’t thick at all and when you get close to the bowl it’s almost magnified and kinda blurry. The filter seems to be doing pretty good! ... show more

I bought this from SAMs club for my 3 year old who loves all things Dory. I love this more than my daughter. The tank is flexible plastic and magnifies the fish and ornaments size. The kit is ready to use. Usually u need to let the water run on the filter for 24 hours to get rid of ammonia what not. Else the fishes will die. I was afraid my daughter will not wait for a day to put in fish. But reading the instructions it said ready to use. Day 1 packet had salts and other liquids to make it an instant home for the fishes. And I rushed immediately to the store and got 4 LED glow tetra fishes (green,pink,red,white), black gravel, food and ornaments. All together ( inclusive of this tank ) cost me $96. And within an hour the tank was ready with fishes in them. They were Right and Ready from the moment I dropped them in..keeping fingers crossed since my daughter wouldn't wait. In love with this totally. Great starter tank for kids. Hopefully maintenance is as easy as starting. And love the colors. 7 solid colors, 2 alternating settings, 2 slow transitions and 1 bright to dim setting. I love it. Will make great mood lights for movie nights. As a rule of thumb u can put in 2 fresh water fishes per gallon of water. So 5 or 6 would be ideal for this tank. This was suggested by the pet store assistant. Would highly recommend! ... show more
