This is the second one that I have bought and I love them. I carry one with me all the time and I have the other one in my craft room. They throw a nice even flame without a lot of sputtering and spitting. I use them a lot with paracord and other crafts that have to be heat Sealed. They are easy to light and use. The style is very hand compatible too, for when you are doing a lot of work at one time. I definitely read recommend them to anyone that needs a small direct flame for crafting or other uses. The safety on the lighter did stop working after a pretty significant accidental drop to the ground but still the lighter itself is working great after at least 10 refills. It’s fairly heavy and well made. I just purchased a 2nd one to gift to a family member. Would definitely recommend. Don’t accidentally cup your hand like you would with a regular lighter. I lit a cigarette with the slider and dropped it into my purse and hung my purse on the back of my chair. A few minutes later I felt something hot behind me and turned around to see my purse in flames! It ruined my new iPhone 14, my concealed carry purse and a prescription...among other things! I called Amazon and someone was supposed to call me back but they don't give a crap apparently because I've never heard anything back. Hello, I purchased the torch lighter off of Amazon in August. I registered, the lighter isn't working. It doesn't want to light almost all of the time, starts and stops 4-5 times trying to light it, have to turn the flame very high to get it to light at all. A millimeter on the valve adjustment for flame is practically all or nothing. Now, the part that creates the spark for the flame doesn't work. Very disappointed. Attempting support. Like I mentioned in the title, there are three companies that make this model of lighter. They're all odd, no name companies. This had over 1000 5 star reviews. I'll come back if things change. Shipping for a return is going to be expensive, maybe close to the original cost of the lighter because it's SO HEAVY. We'll see, but not looking good. UPDATE! They DID contact me, I must've missed it in my emails. They asked where to send it to avter I verified I bought it, and they sent me another one quickly. New one works like a charm, Thank you!
