I bought this as a toy for my kids and ended up making it a toy for me. This little guy goes pretty quick for a non-hobbyist RC car and is surprisingly durable! Packaging leaves a bit to be desired. The outer carton is thin and bruises easily. The interior parts are packaged a bit better, some padding to be had around the unit itself and the accessories that come with it. Just be mindful of jostling the carton too much if you need to transport it before opening it! Actual assembly of the battery into the RC car is simple. It clicks in rather easily and is within a small housing accessed by a philips screwdriver. Battery life is around 30 mintues of strenuous action, think going offroad and forcing the small motors to work hard. Otherwise, it lasts for about the advertised 50 minutes per charge. I've had fun with this thing while working outside for a while now. I take a break from gardening, sit, and drive this around while I cool off. I've launched it off all sorts of gardening equipment, boxes, wood, etc. It grips fairly well, doesn't tend to lose traction easily, and is rather hard to flip unless you put it into the air at an awkward angle. The suspension holds up despite my abuse. I've had to tinker with it a bit after one-too-many hard falls onto asphalt, but when it's offroading, I haven't had any issues. The paint is durable enough. It hasn't faded at all despite some extensive time in the sun, while in use or in storage. It has scratched a bit, be mindful of letting it roll on asphalt or concrete. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I ordered this car for my 12-year-old son. He was surprised at how fast it could go. His friends had fun trying it out! I would recommend this product for anyone looking for an RC car on a budget and is durable. This is my first time purchasing an RC car and I am so happy with it! I put together the little video with some of the clips of driving the car. Be careful, this truck is built with a ton of torque, which makes the acceleration and turns so much crispy. It brings lot of fun to play. The truck build is quite sturdy, with long travel suspensions, along with the motor power makes it so much capable to drive on any surfaces. The power and speed allow it to go through grass with ease. In fact there's nothing it can't go over. Even when against a wall, it will try to climb up it. The four-wheel drive makes a huge difference! I would recommend buying this 5/5 stars! PROS: Quick for a kid to use. Too fast for indoors. Reasonable price and value. Body removes with 4 cotter pins. Battery life is around 15 - 20 minutes. Super light and sturdy controller for kids. Adjustable trims on remote. Wheel steering on remote. Trigger forward/reverse. Good looking. CONS: Instruction can be little better for how to replace battery. Other than that I don’t find any issue. ... show more

It was fun while it last. Was not too big or small, just the perfect size. Battery life was good and its faster than most rc car out there for the price! Sadly, not everything last forever. Received it on jan 4th, but on jan 7th, the steering servo stop working. It won't turn left or right but I can hear the steering motor running with a weird noise its making. Maybe the stervo is burn out or something, asking for a refund or to send me a new one while I send this back. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I got this for my son’s birthday. When turned on, the car illuminates with vibrant colors and flash patterns, especially in the dark. My dog loves it too lol He’ll run alongside the truck and bark at it. The durability of the car is quite impressive. It has a sturdy upgraded frame and bumper to absorb crashes (passed drop Test and Impact Test). If the car runs into a wall, it will swiftly bounce back and continue its journey. The tires and suspension system is also great. The car runs with a 280 motor to achieve 20 km/h on any terrain- thanks to its anti-skid rubber tires. Additionally, the high-quality nylon chassis provides excellent grip and stability, allowing you to run the car on uneven terrains like grass and concrete roads. Very durable and sturdy. I really like this car for my son. Decent speed for 6-10 year old - maybe 20mph? Faster than that and the steering and turning become hard which leads to more crashes. Better remote than some. You can control the speed, turn angle, and alignment as well as reverse steering and turning switches. Similar cars dont include the turn angle adjustment. Battery lasts a decent amount of time - 15 to 20 min. It has the lights included that let you know when the remote is connected. Can control up to like 100-150ft on the street. It is plastic and will eventually have broken parts - a little difficult to source here on Amazon. They do make upgraded aluminum parts and are coming out with more, but you have to buy them from third party sites usually from China where the shipping and delivery times make it cost and time prohibitive. I hope theyll be offered on Amazon soon. The shocks could be better and use some oil. I ended up replacing them with some oil filled ones I found here on Amazon. Just make sure to double check the length. I liked it so much that I purchased a second for my daughter in a different color so that I could source parts from the same place when they eventually crash and brake them (which they will). The second one I bought was from a different vendor and it was missing the lights that let you know its connected - so stick with this Kolegand brand for the best value. ... show more
