    • This Product is Potent. Use With Caution
This store provides genuine kojic acid soap. Let’s start with general descriptions. The smell is citrusy and it suds very well. The color is a bright orange and usually leaves orange residue when diluted with water. It is very easily dissolved so I do not recommend leaving the soap in the shower or anywhere near water. Cut it in cubes for a longer lasting purchase. One bar lasts me a little over 2 months. I did not experience irritation using this soap, but it was due to my method of use, as if not used properly you may experience burning or even more bumps. It is best to use this soap 2-3 times a week at the beginning and use at night because exposure to sunlight can reverse the effects and worsen dark spots. Remember to moisturize and hydrate because kojic is very drying. Always use sunscreen even if not outside in the day time. Also, it should not be your only cleanser as you should not be using 2 times a day long term. It will take cause of dark spots and hyperpigmentation and give you an amazing glow as long as you don’t overdo the use. ... show more

I’ve been using this for a little over two months and I’ve seen a noticeable difference in my skin. I’ve gotten so many compliments as well as people asking for my skin care routine. I want to say that this is a product that needs to be used very carefully. Do not use in your eyebrows, hairline, or eyelashes. It has bleaching properties and WILL bleach them (I’m finding this out first hand) Avoid these areas while using. It can be very harsh on the skin so your face may feel very dry or irritated. Try using this once a week then slowly increase. It shouldn’t be used daily in my opinion it’ll ruin your skin barrier. Make sure you are using some kind of serum (I ise the ANUA nacinamine serum) or anything with Vitamin C. Then make sure you use a rich moisturizer (I use Ponds in the blue tub) and finally use sunscreen every morning (I use Blackgirl Sunscreen SPF 50 and reapply every few hours) For a more glowy look I use Aquaphora. Overall this is an amazing product that has completely changed my routine. I would recommend it but please listen to your skin. As good as it works for me, it could ruin your skin. i bought this soap because i have a lot of acnes, and I really wanted to remove them or reduce them because i've been seeing wonderful reviews about this soap. unfortunately this was not really my case. I am down 1 bar of this soap from consistent nightly use. at first it was working amazing, my acne's were slowing down, removed lot of darker spots on my face, but then came the bad, my skin started drying really bad, shedding even, like i would wear a lot of lotion on my face every hour or so my face won't stay white. because my skin was pealing. I continued using because I though it was normal, but then my skin started burning, every night while applying my moisturizer, i had to put ice on my face to not feel the burn. if i get under the sun at any point, i feel like my face is on fire. I really wasn't able to continue using the soap anymore. but it really started helping. my face color started to even out. but unfortunately it's a no for me ... show more

The best soap to use if you’re struggling with body/face acne

I used this for two months, originally starting with a q-tip and using as a spot treatment but then moved to once a day and increased to twice a day as I felt I wasn’t seeing results. It did burn occasionally while using but I didn’t pay too much attention to that, probably should have lol. This product just wasn’t for me and I wanted to love it after hearing a great review from a trusted YouTuber but personally, I feel that it caused more breakouts for me and more breakouts means more dark spots, ultimately defeating it’s intended purpose. It could’ve also been the products I used in combination with this, which I don’t think were harsh or should have interacted negatively (Paula Choice’s Resist weightless advanced repairing toner, COSRX advanced snail 96 mucin, Glymed living cell clarifier and cerave healing ointment) but it is what it is. I’m just glad I went with the 2 bars instead of 4 but I now have an extra bar that’s going to be tossed. September 2024 - Updating this because I decided to give it another try. I use it about once a day every other day or so. I still get light hives around the eye area after usage but it’s nowhere near as bad as it was the first time. I also haven’t noticed any new breakouts since using it *knock on wood* I did switch up my routine & am now using the Cerave facial wash (acne control cleanser & hydrating cream to foam) along with Good Molecules discoloration correcting serum & the niacinamide brightening toner (if you haven’t got these in your arsenal run now. They are HIGHLY recommended) & the snail mucin is also still in usage along with Topical’s faded cream. I’m seeing good results with these products so I’m hoping adding the soap back in will give that extra boost but it could go either way. If you prefer not to use the soap please look into the Good Molecules and Topicals product I listed here because those are my holy grail. ... show more
