The leather was nice, although its more of a suede. They just aren't flattering for bigger feet (9.5) I think I'll feel self conscious wearing them. They are also really hard to get off and on. Once on, they are a little narrow around the sides of the ball of my foot but roomy for my toes- I don't think they would rub on my pinky toe like some shoes do. Just got these today so I can’t speak to how they will feel in the long run. BUT wanted to post how similar they look to the pictures. Was hesitant to get my hopes up too high but the coloring/quality is as described and seen in the pictures. It smelled like good quality leather right out of the box! I’m typically a size 9 but sized up to 9.5 per reviews and am glad I did. Boots like these almost always are too narrow for me and hurt my feet right out of the box in one way or another. These slid right on and feel promising! It feels like there is the right amount of room for thick socks/my feet to swell at all after being on them all day. Again, can’t speak further than the ten minutes of having them out of the box but I am WAY excited to use these!! ... show more

These were beautiful when I pulled them out of the box, but as soon as I tried them on the leather cracked colors (never seen before in genuine leather) so they looked old and worn immediately, and the nails in the heel weren’t completely flush so I scraped my floors with them. I tried these on in store before ordering, and didn’t have any issues. The boot shaft also seemed a little narrow and looked weird once on. Sad these didn’t work. ... show more

I bought a full size up; a 9.5 US as Amazon suggested based upon what i normally purchase. The fit is perfect with no irritating sore spots from rubbing. 68 years old and I loved this boot, immediately!
