It wasn't too hard to assemble for me by myself. The thing I don't like is I have an 8 inch futon mattress and tha the arms of the frame are level with the mattress. It is very, very hard to put from laying flat to upright with just one person. And the sliding frame does not feel real solid when going from laying flat to upright couch. Was skeptical about this futon bed πŸ›Œ, saw different comments, have to say bed is very strong and sturdy for 2 big adult. Also approve for adult 6ft tall. Very easy to assemble but make sure you have 2 people and space to move around when assembling. All the screws aligned without any type of problem or issues. There is a youtube video on how to assemble which helps in the process to make sure your on track. I also go the coil mattress which feels awesome, don't get the futon regular mattress. It will be a bit of a challenge to close but worth the back support when your sleeping or just seating. Just need a second person when closing it. ... show more

I purchased a double bed frame for my double bed sized Futon. The fit is quite tight on the length of the futon which is the width of the "sofa". You hav e to cram the mattress down to fit inside. It would also have been nice if there was some kind of lip on the head and foot of the frame to keep the mattress from slipping from side to side when opened. I was also hoping the arms would be a little higher to double as a headboard. Otherwise the product is a fair price for the quality of the futon. ... show more

    • Great Frame, One little problem during install

Frame looks great. Very sturdy feeling parts and for the most part the install was very easy. It requires 2 people only to lift the seat deck and back deck onto the frame. Other than that it is just lining up screws and using the allen wrench to twist them in. As I said before it looks great and is very sturdy after install. During my last step of install, putting the two arms together, I had to redrill two holes because the holes that were there were filled in or not punctured all the way through. Just used my drill to finish the holes but it was kind of a pain in the butt. Other than that one little problem, it is a great product for the price!! ... show more

All pieces and tools are provided and clearly labeled. The assembly process went smoothly. I suggest watching the video they made to get an overview of the assembly first but they also provide written instructions in the box. It is a 2 person job to do the final assembly. I bought this exact same item last year. Put it together. Took it apart to move and put it back together. Flawless. I gave it to a family member. I purchased another one this year and the entire left side is out of alignment. The tongue and groove part (left side) will not seat fully on the back build (nor the seat build). The grey/grey bracket (left side) on the seat (pre screwed black bracket) is loose because one screw hole is stripped. I am mid-way through assembling this thing (the first one was perfect) and now we are here. I'm on a mission and will have to correct these mistakes on my own tomorrow. Forget about returning this.
