My family of 5 absolutely LOVE this futon! We got the marmot one (extremely soft, gray cushion with dark brown REAL wood) and it was pretty easy putting it together with two people. All hardware and tools came with it! It has now been a year since we got it and it's still in gorgeous condition with lots of use in our "movie theater" - I even prefer to sleep on it over my bed sometimes! I felt assembly was easy, had it put together in about 30-45 minutes. Thick comfortable mattress as well. Just be careful lifting the front once assembled as it can recline a bit and possibly pinch a finger.
