My old cotton futon of 5 years was super compacted and hard, I sleep on it several days out of the week and wanted a mattress that company would be comfortable on should they need to use it. I pulled the trigger on this one because it A) had innersprings and B) another person bought it for their KD Futon frame. It's much lighter than my previous mattress, making moving it from bed to couch a lot easier. The hinge system also makes it sit up completely tall when converted without me having to pull it up and adjust it! It's also quite comfy to sit and lay on. This mattress is heavy duty so be prepared for the weight. It is not cheaply made like some futon and has inter al springs. The kids enjoyed sleeping on it and said it was really comfortable. If you are buying this to roll up in a corner you will likely find that very difficult because it is so thick. Regular queen size sheets fit well. We love our new futon mattress In a beautiful gray color. It’s sturdy, firm, and comfortable. It breaks in even more as you sit on it, and it hasn’t slid out of place. I’m sure this will also make a very nice queen sized bed for guests as well.
