Great mattress so far. The outer cardboard shipping box arrived barely dangling on and totally destroyed, but mattress itself was in perfect shape. UPS delivered it 9:47 pm Sat night. Happy so far. Put it on a 8 year old Ikea Beddinge frame. Update: Have slept on this a couple nights now and wow it is so so comfortable. It took me a lot of scrolling and review reading before I decided on this one, and I have to say that this thing is dang comfy! I thought the price was reasonable, but the quality of this mattress is great! I did however need to let it air out for about three days because there was a strong odor that I'm assuming from packing. But I had to wait a few days for the futon to be delivered, so letting it air was not a problem.

This mattress is lovely. We haven't slept on it yet, but just sitting on it we can tell it will be comfortable. The fabric is soft and attractive. Per previous review, we bought the navy, hoping that it was a greenish shade of blue, and it was! It's a great color!

I searched and searched online for a comfortable futon mattress. I wanted a darker blue. The color is nice. It is, let's be clear, just the mattress but I knew that when I ordered it. It was to replace an older mattress. I would not say this mattress is 8 inches thick but it's ok. It's on the firm side, which isn't my preference, but it's better than the old one for sure and I don't have as much hip pain. We're sleeping OK on it. One thing I've learned from all my research is that all of the mattresses out there are either crappy or similar to this one. All have mixed reviews. So I'm keeping this one. It's nice enough and doesn't have a weird smell. The fabric is soft. It is a little hard to fold so I have to gold it forward, then put the frame back in couch mode. It's a pretty comfortable couch by the way.

Color: It is a dark teal. The picture in the listing is fairly accurate. It's not navy, although it does look almost navy depending on the light. I posted several pics and you can see, based on lighting it is somewhere between teal, dark teal and navy. I really like this color. I plan to add a throw, accent pillows and art to pick up this color. Comfort: This is very comfortable, springy and supportive in both the seated position and as a bed. The hinged springs is ingenious and works well. But you do need two people to get it from the bed pisition to the seated position. The material is soft. There is a thick layer of foam above the springs - so you won't feel the springs. Value For The Money: I think so. It was $100 cheaper than the mattress it replaced and is better quality. Improvements: 1) Make the cover removeable so it can be washed 2) Get rid of the plastic "buttons" where it is tufted. Probably to do this, the cover would need to have some stretchiness to it so it is snug when zipped. I gave it 4 stars only because the cover is not removeable - but I highly recommend this mattress for the value, comfort and looks.

We did a lot of research before we bought this mattress and I'm glad we decided on this one. We decided on the hybrid for better support. The fabric is nice looking and soft. Warning, it is heavy because of the added springs so its a 2 person job. We don't sleep on it so I don't know how it's for sleep but we have it in our office and it's firm and very comfortable. I read where some people reported hard to find hinges but that was not a problem, it naturally went into position. If your on the fence about this mattress, I'd say go for it. The company kept me informed about delivery since it wasn't immediately available.

I've had this mattress for 5 months now. I ignored the reviews about the odor, and it was eye-wateringly bad when I got it, but I figured it would fade away in time. It hasn't. It's a very strong, chemical smell. I'm guessing it's outgassing some gnarly VOCs or something, because I think it's been affecting my health. My nostrils have become dry and brittle and sore. When I left the house for a week on vacation, it got better. But as soon as I got back, the curse reigned down upon me again. I'm outside of the return window so I'm just going to have to sell it or put it on the street to pass the curse to the next person. It's sad, because I want to like it. The design is great, the hinge part makes it very convenient, and it's pretty comfortable for a futon. But this odor is killing me, maybe possibly literally.

Very very comfortable and it stays put- no haveung to constantly pull it up. Only 2 problems- it has a strong odor that hopefully with time with fade or we will get use to. This is not a true navy, well it isn’t really navy at all but at least it is a shade of blue.
