Great value for the price - good-looking, solid wood, nicely finished. While there was quite a bit of assembly required, every piece was labeled and the expanded diagrams were detailed and accurate. My husband put this together in a little over two hours, only needing my help at the very last step. Lifting the seating surfaces into the frame and getting the rollers into their respective slots is definitely a two person job. Once the frame is assembled and all bolts tightened, it’s very sturdy and the roller mechanism to convert from sofa to bed and back again can be easily operated by one person. The sofa does not need to be moved away from the wall in order to open into a bed, which is super convenient. The mattress is decent - though not quite as thick as advertised. We’ll see how it holds up. There seems to be enough padding over the springs, but I’m not sure what being folded into a sofa will do to its supportive quality as a bed. The upholstery fabric does not continue on the back side, so clearly the mattress is not meant to be flipped, which is a shame because that could extend its life. Instead of the linen-like upholstery, the back is covered with a plush faux suede - maybe to help it resist slippage on the frame? I am glad to report there was no funky smell or off-gassing from the mattress, which seems to bear out its claim to contain US CertiPUR foam and cotton padding. This is a sturdy futon with a very comfortable mattress. It take some time to assemble and two people are needed for some of the assembly. The parts are well packaged and clearly marked. There are written directions with pictures, as well as a video to help with assembly. The mattress is very comfortable, but it is also heavy. It does take some effort to pull the futon out to convert it to a bed ,and to then fold it back up. This is an excellent value for the price. ... show more

The quality is good, the paint color is true to the picture and the cushion is thick and comfortable. Building it is another story, this is a two person build. There is no way one person can get it assembled on their own..

Just finished putting this futon together. While it comes with written instructions, the video was great! It definitely took 2 of us. I gave it 3 stars for ease of assembly, but that should be 4. I'd have given that 5 if I'd have been able to do it totally by myself. Comes in 3 separate pieces, 2 boxes and the mattress separately. The mattress color is more teal than navy, which I'm thrilled about personally. The suade is very soft, the mattress seems very comfy. Again, just finished, so time will tell. The hardware is very well packaged well marked. Zero room for confusion. It has 3 positions: upright, reclining, flat. It's heavy so I plan on getting furniture slides for easier moving when it needs to be a bed. The only thing that isn't quite to the rest of the quality is the tuffts, they're plastic with no covers/bottons on them. I found that kind of odd and cheapend the look of the futon imo. Firm well covered mattress Frame is a bit of a struggle to put together but, hey, we got it done. Seems sturdy though legs and arms not built as studly as other futons at twice the price.

What a great value! Literally last minute guests, needed a place for them to crash. This Futon arrived super fast, not to bad to assemble... match the colored dots, and voila! super sturdy, looks great, guests said it was as comfortable as their bed! (ps. don't bother buying the recommended "pad" - not worth the money and doesn't make a difference) ... show more

Clear and easy instructions. Well sorted hardware. I assembled myself in a few hrs. Even lifting the completed upper to the lower frame. Heavy but not impossible. Ok, I knew I was getting a futon, not a sleeper sofa. So looks wise etc it is what it is. I bought it for the price/look/& that it’s an actual full size sleeper, not a twin etc. The pricing fluctuates a lot between multiple sellers. The color effects pricing too. The Butternut matches my polyurethaned pine walls perfectly. It’s a futon. The lower portion is angled up, like a Sports car seat. It’s not flat like most couches. So your butt sits a bit lower. I didn’t find this uncomfortable at all. Maybe a tad harder to get up/slide off 🤷🏻♂️ And if you are laying down to watch a movie while in sofa position, you’ll be at a slight angle. That’s all. Sit up! Or sleep. Not both. 😁 You can feel the coil springs. You can also hear them. Like a metal binding noise. This means they’re working. They are providing actual cushioning. Most other futons are just densely packed cotton and ultra hard. ( & heavier) The best part about this is the size! It opens up to a real sleeper. A full size mattress, that takes full size sheets. And has a normal mattress length. It’s super easy to open and actually has 3 positions. the sitting, more laid back Lounge and full flat sleeping positions. 👍👍👍 No real complaints. It’s not memory foam quiet, it’s not hot either. Nor is it a real mattress. But more than fine for a wkend sleepover etc. My biggest concern is it breaking. It’s rated for 500# and I see lots of complaints. Not sure if users are jumping on it, or are super big people. We are 400# for 2 ppl and it’s more than fine. I wouldn’t load up 4 across or treat it like a trampoline either. lol. Maybe people aren’t assembling correctly 🤷🏻♂️ Arrived in 2 shipments, a few days apart. Packaging was great and no damage etc. Time will tell. Oh yeah, the little cushion button things are plastic clips. We don’t pick at them and we have a thin blanket over the futon.
