Comfortable, attractive and sturdy futon
Color: Linen Charcoal Size: No Drawers Style: Barbados Finish
This is a very nice futon and a good value for the price. It is sturdy when assembled, both in the sitting position and when lowered into the bed position. The assembly instructions are easy to follow, but I recommend that you read through them carefully before beginning assembly. The instructions are in picture format, not written instructions, so pay attention to the details (like which side of the arm piece the washers go on, for example). One person can handle most of the assembly, but it does take two people to mount the top part of the frame on the base/arm assembly. The mattress is quite comfortable. I believe this futon will hold up well. ... show more

Exactly as advertised
Color: Linen Charcoal Size: No Drawers Style: Butternut Finish
Great value for the price - good-looking, solid wood, nicely finished. While there was quite a bit of assembly required, every piece was labeled and the expanded diagrams were detailed and accurate. My husband put this together in a little over two hours, only needing my help at the very last step. Lifting the seating surfaces into the frame and getting the rollers into their respective slots is definitely a two person job. Once the frame is assembled and all bolts tightened, it’s very sturdy and the roller mechanism to convert from sofa to bed and back again can be easily operated by one person. The sofa does not need to be moved away from the wall in order to open into a bed, which is super convenient. The mattress is decent - though not quite as thick as advertised. We’ll see how it holds up. There seems to be enough padding over the springs, but I’m not sure what being folded into a sofa will do to its supportive quality as a bed. The upholstery fabric does not continue on the back side, so clearly the mattress is not meant to be flipped, which is a shame because that could extend its life. Instead of the linen-like upholstery, the back is covered with a plush faux suede - maybe to help it resist slippage on the frame? I am glad to report there was no funky smell or off-gassing from the mattress, which seems to bear out its claim to contain US CertiPUR foam and cotton padding. All in all, this futon makes a very good first impression! ... show more

Finally found the best futon EVER
Color: Linen Charcoal Size: No Drawers Style: Butternut Finish
I have had three other futons, one from a garage sale and two from big box stores. They were all cheap junk that never worked well in any position. This futon is a game changer for me. I now have the perfect couch for my home office. It's solidly built and only took about 2 hours to build taking my time. Make sure you have carpet or a large area rug to assemble. You will need an extra set of hands for attaching the mattress support to the frame. The mattress is awesome and it will last a LONG time. I tend to sleep in all positions (back, stomach, and side) through each night and the mattress was excellent in all. I was surprised at the lack of "factory smell" with this mattress. It had a faint smell of aspen pads used on swamp coolers when first taken out of its wrap. I did extensive research before making this purchase and was about to pull the trigger on the same thing outside of Amazon with another company. I did a double check and found the same thing here for almost $200 less. I was ready to pay more and would have if this was not available on Amazon. Do yourself a favor and stay away from the sub $200 futons at the box stores, and get this. This futon is going to give me years of comfort as a couch and a bed. This one is worth every penny. ... show more

Almost a full year review!
Color: Linen Charcoal Size: No Drawers Style: Barbados Finish
I bought this in September of 2025 and have been using it almost every day sense. The reviews are correct it is challenging to close unless you have some muscle or help. I stand at one corner, hold the arm and lift that corner with all my strength and it closes. This would be challenging for some tho, no doubt. Opening it is super easy just stand at the middle front and lift then it folds out. It is holding up really well, there is some squeezing from the screws but that is to be expected for the price. The mattress is awesome, super comfortable other than the elongated buttons they have stitched in there. I have learned to avoid them or accept that every so often imma get poked by one lol (this would be my main reccomendation for them to change!) Overall, and specifically for this price point. I am very happy with this! ... show more

Very good quality
Color: Linen Charcoal Size: No Drawers Style: Barbados Finish
Standard futon engineering but the packaging and the instructions were the best that I have ever encountered. All parts including the hardware are identified. Wood pieces numbered and have color coded stickers for connection points.

Great Value
Color: Linen Charcoal Size: No Drawers Style: Butternut Finish
What a great value! Literally last minute guests, needed a place for them to crash. This Futon arrived super fast, not to bad to assemble... match the colored dots, and voila! super sturdy, looks great, guests said it was as comfortable as their bed! (ps. don't bother buying the recommended "pad" - not worth the money and doesn't make a difference) ... show more
