The futon arrived in three boxes and was fairly easy to put together with just one person, but I would certainly recommend two people for speed and for some of the later assembly steps. It looks great in our living room and the mattress is very comfortable. The frame has a nice finish and is sturdy enough for the mattress and a couple people. The folding trays do not feel like they would support a lot of weight, but for lighter stuff like remote controls and drinks they get the job done. We received the product in three different boxes... looked online for a setup video and it was very easy to do, my husband and I set it up. The futon does make inside from the creaking of the wood, hopefully it will get better from it getting worked it. The futon bed itself is pretty stiff. Bought a futon mattress from Walmart for less then $200 and it way more comfortable. That’s my only problem, the mattress itself is not so comfortable but the overall futon frame is beautiful. ... show more

I am so very happy with this futon. After putting it together and taking it apart (instructions left a little bit to be desired) I am happy with the construction. It is a very comfortable futon, and the mattress seems to be very well made. Love the tables on the arms. Frame is true to Expresso color, and I will be trying it out soon. For the money, it is a great choice if you need a couch, and occasionally have company. My daughter came over and loved how comfortable it is. She was in the market for two new couches, but after sitting on the futon, she has decided to purchase two of these. For the money, it's a great purchase! ... show more

    • Awesome futon and mattress,just maybe not together.
I love the frame, and I love the mattress. I just don't love them together. The queen size mattress overhangs and slides down everytime someone stood up. I changed the mattress to a full size and the futon works for us so much better. The side tables definitely hold more weight than just a remote. The mattress is in my bedroom, and it is HEAVENLY. I wish they worked better together. The futon is impossible for me to make into a couch without my husband's help. I can slam it down myself though, but obviously I want to try to avoid doing that. Overall, if you can switch out the mattress easily, I would recommend. The mattress is amazing too so you can use as a regular bed. ... show more

No issues. On time. Very nice futon. Paid for the assembly. Very well worth it. Unless you are a handyman/woman, it is not easy. Takes two to assemble it.

This is a nice futon (some assembly required). However the mattress is heavy and with NO handles. You have to wrestle it into place -- really need two people. The mattress has a "fold" place near the middle. Once you get it in place, you will probably think you'd rather not open it up again. The one we got had a hole missing in one of the slats -- had to drill one. ... show more
