The set of two color coded battery terminals can be used as remote jumper terminals for your car. The black or red waterproof plastic cover will keep the terminals safe when not in use. The covers are tethered to the terminal so they won't get lost. Each terminal has a 3/8" stud on the bottom for mounting and wire hookups. Size: Charging Post
Installed in my DIY solar generator. Ran a fused 4 gauge line and negative from the battery to these posts mounted in the side of the enclosure. This allows me to use either heavy duty automotive style terminals or jumper cable clamps to power larger 12V devices off the solar generator. Install was easy, just drilled the correct size holes, popped these in, attached the cables with ring terminals and then torqued down the nuts. The caps work well enough to cover them when not in use to prevent shorts. I had been using large 3/8" binding posts previously, but like these much better. ... show more
