Put this chain on both of my racing bikes because it looked sturdy to me (something that matters a lot to me since the chain takes a lot of strain coming out of the gate). So far the older one is still holding up nicely.

Better than chain that comes on most mid priced bikes. I didn't know what lube was on it so I cleaned it In solvent and put a quality lubricant on it. I bought it as a spare but decided to install it and keep the original chain as spare.

Great product for the money. If your looking to shave weight. This is not the chain for you. Outer links are bigger. Inside links links seem to be a standard size. Links are a little thicker and the pins are solid. So far, so good. Hasn't broke yet.

Left 5 stars as it appears to be a quality chain. It's the same type of chain that came with my e-bike, and I wanted to replace it while replacing a rear tire. Ordered it because it was the same brand and type and said it was compatible with all 7-speed drive trains. My ebike is a 7 speed, so thought I was ok. I removed my rear tire, but found the factory chain had no quick release link, so had to buy a chain break tool to press out a pin to remove old chain. I hung the chain, sprayed it down with brake cleaner, wiped the factory oil off and let it dry, then soaked it in chain lube and hung to let that dry. It was all set. I had a big problem with figuring out which way the washers went on on my rear axle which took days and a lot of struggle to get right, but finally I got it together. At last I could put the new chain on and get back to riding. But I was destroyed when I threaded the new chain on, only to find that it was several inches too short! I laid out the old chain next to the new and found that this chain is about 6 inches too short. Some research at my bike manufactuers showed that their chain must be custom, as it's 130 links, where this is only 114. UGH! And a search of the KMC website and all their chains showed that they don't offer a 130 link model. Debating whether to order an expensive 126 link chain from them, or the replacement chain from the manufacturer. After a week with my bike apart, I'm afraid they'll be shipping it from China and it might take weeks. Moral: Be sure to check the link count. This is NOT compatible with ALL 7 speed drive trains. ... show more
