Description

The Static V is a lightweight camping air pad that uses body mapping technology at an entry-level price. It features the V Chamber design that limits air movement and heat loss while offering a uniquely ergonomic body map optimized for performance and comfort. In addition, the pad’s dynamic side rails will keep you centered on the pad all night. Packing down to the size of a water bottle and inflating in approximately 10-15 breaths, it will save you time and energy. It also features an easy-to-use push valve for quick inflation and deflation. The Static V will change everything that you have come to expect from an air bed. Camping and comfort do co-exist. Like all of the other Klymit camping pads it features an easy-to-use push valve allows for quick inflation and deflation. The King's Camo version and the Recon version are built with 75 D fabric on both top and bottom making this inflatable sleeping pad even more durable.

I bought this pad as a replacement for a self inflating pad that sprung a leak. Overall, I'm very pleased with the change. This pad is only about 20% the size of my old pad when stored, in addition to being more than 50% lighter. It inflates very easily with 11-12 breaths. The textured surface keeps my somewhat slippery down sleeping bag firmly in place all night long. It's at least an inch thicker than my old pad and is far more comfortable. I highly recommend this pad to anyone that needs a lightweight, compact and easy to use pad. I've slept on it for 30 nights so far this summer and have no complaints. ... show more

Stunning product. I wish I would have purchased this years ago. Its a V by design to keep you centered and it truly works. I have used this on many occasions other than camping also. I quit being careful with it also and still no punctures. This would still be worth it at 150 bucks, but let's keep that between us. Such a good product I bought 2 more and now everyone in the family has one. Must have camping product. Valve is kind of a pain sometimes but not an issue for me. ... show more

I have 21 nights on the trail sleeping on this and it has never leaked or 'let me down'. Further, sometimes I toss this on my bed at home and it makes it really nice. I bought mine in 2018 to use while camping in Yellowstone, as well as hiking segments of the Colorado Trail. I've seen a few negative reviews as I revisit this product. They could be a bad run of these pads, but my experience is that Klymit is a good company and I love this particular inflatable. I'm planning to thru-hike the Appalachian Trail March of 2020, so we'll see how well it holds up for a really long trip. ... show more

    • Whoa! Perfect for a 6'2, 240 lber with broad hips and shoulders.
Whoa! First impression only here, but I was pretty excited to get this so I inflated it and hopped on it right away. I'm a side sleeper, 6'2", 240 lbs, broad shouldered, possess a Kardasian booty and STILL was extremely comfortable on this. I could not feel the ground on my shoulder or hip. This thing is pretty impressive! I've had some other mats (self inflating etc) but this one is certainly more comfortable. Can't wait to use it in a couple of weeks for 4 days in the woods! Will report back! It's also much, much smaller than self-inflating mats and it did take me exactly 15 full breaths to fill it. I'm thinking about buying one for everybody I know lol... ... show more

Within a week, it deflates easily. It needs a built in self inflating pump because human breath doesn’t hold it up long.

I’ve used this on many nights of backpacking now and it’s been great! Great price, good light weight, still holding strong. I go from back to side to stomach to side to back and repeat all night (that’s my norm even at home unfortunately) and have pretty wide shoulders and I hardly ever find myself off the mat - and it’s pretty much silent during all that movement. No leaks after many nights of use (30-40 sleeps? I upgraded to the insulated version but this one is great too - especially given its price! ... show more

Bought this for a 2 night canoeing trip up in NH. I'm a larger guy so sleeping on my back is quite uncomfortable and can lead to snoring. All I can say is WOW - what difference a small layer of air makes. It certainly beats lugging around a huge air bed. It was really easy to set up and it's just so comfortable. I used an inflatable air pillow with it as well and I have to say that these were the best 2 nights I EVER slept in the wilderness. Highly recommended. I'm thinking of purchasing more of these for our family trips. ... show more

First, let me say that I item I received and am reviewing is a Klymit Static V INSULATED not the lightweight that I was supposed to get. But, they are, other than a bit of insulation which adds a few ounces the same unit. While I cannot yet speak to the longevity of it, did try it out. It is easy to inflate, and quite comfortable for a relatively thin pad. ... show more
