i'm not a fan of inflatable pillows, they don't provide the same comfort level of a regular pillow. I bought these since there some good reviews from youtubers about this. it certainly made my sleeping better on the bed or on a camping mat/cot. Its adequately large enough to support you. it's a must have. the one thing i did notice is the smell as soon as you open it. it's probably need a good wash on the pillow case and hang dry the pillow itself. ... show more

Firstly, this pillow is SUPER comfortable. I have the large version. The switcheroo from nylon cover to soft sleeping material is easily done. Granted it is a bit heavy for camping/backpacking. I do bring it on the shorter walk back pack trips and makes a huge difference to me as a side sleeper. While I can appreciate that memory foam is more comfortable than an air pillow or an air pillow with bits of foam - as this pillow has so much foam inside, the option to add a little bit of air to beef it up could be useful. But nonetheless, it’s super comfortable. I may not bring it on a plane as carry on, though perhaps the smaller size might be good for that. All in - WINNER. ... show more

I love this pillow because it is the perfect size, not too puffy and not too flat. I am able to pack it down to about 8x8 with a compression bag. I actually like this pillow more than the pillow I use at home!

Recently purchased and used this pillow (size large, color green) on a 7-day rafting trip and am very satisfied with it for level of comfort it provided and the relative ease of being able to pack it into a compression sack with my quilt and sheet system (Zen Bivy 40 F Synthetic Quilt and Light Sheet used on a Nemo inflatable pad). I've used many camping and backpacking pillows by most major manufacturers (Thermarest, Nemo) and this pillow is by far more comfortable and closest to an actual pillow you would sleep on at home in your own bed. Pros: Very comfortable for a foam-filled pillow. The pillow will expand after you open it from the packaging so let it sit for a day or so before using so that it fully expands for maximum loft. The pillow will have a slight plastic-like odor but quickly dissipates after a few hours. The dual-use pillow cover is a great feature. The soft, cotton-like side feels great to sleep on and when you're not using it, you can use the other side/layer to keep it clean and while storing or packing away for the day. The pillow cover is also easy to wash (cold water, delicate cycle, air dry). I slept on the pillow for 3 nights in my own bed before using it another 7 nights while camping on the rafting trip and had no neck pain, no weird pressure or discomfort on my ears (while sleeping on my side) and the pillow seemed to maintain a consistent loft. The foam blocks/pieces felt consistently distributed and soft (none protruded in any annoying manner). The pillow also stayed relatively cool even on warm nights (temps around 70 to 75F). Cons: On day 5 of my trip, the white graphics/logo started to peel off the the pillow cover (it appears to be some sort of cheap laminate) but this didn't affect the performance/comfort of the pillow in anyway only the aesthetics if that matters to you. I was stuffing the pillow in a compression bag with my quilt and sheet everyday so that likely caused the graphics/logos to peel-off. Other than this minor issue, the pillow hasn't shown any durability concerns. Bottomline: This is a "glamping" style pillow. It's not small, it compresses okay (not great), it's not lightweight, but it is very, very comfortable. I would not use this pillow for backpacking or any type of trip where weight and space are priorities. Instead, this is a pillow best for car camping and other trips outdoors where you're not concerned about pack weight or space and just want a comfortable night's sleep. ... show more

Forget how I heard about this pillow, but this was my main pillow for 3 months car camping - I can get headaches w/o a pillow - I sleep mainly on my side, some on my back. A little stiff when cold, but great after it warms up. If I lost it, would buy again before next trip!

Call me a picky pillow person. A great pillow is very important to me because I need a good nights sleep or I'm grumpy the next day! When I first opened it and removed it from the plastic, I was a little worried that it wasn't thick enough. But I remember reading other reviews stating to put it in the drier (on low heat) for a bit and, wow, it really helped puff it up. I like my pillows on the medium to firm side, and I'd say this is medium firmness and very comfortable. For car camping this is great. For backpacking it may be a bit on the large / heavy side, but I'm willing to accept that in order to be super comfortable while sleeping (I also have a slightly larger / heavier sleeping pad for the same reason). There is no odor at all which is appreciated. I also like the inside - out conversion feature. I use the microfiber side if I'm camping and I use the polyester side while traveling (I figure it's better for protecting the pillow on airplanes).
