  • Incredible with turntable
Style: Speaker Color: Ebony (Pair)
I'm a novice. Let's get that out of the way. I was looking for a great set of speakers to pair with my upgraded turntable (Pro-ject Debut Carbon Evo). These beasts have delivered. They arrived un-damaged in coffin-sized boxes (which my cats have converted into mansions). Relatively easy to set up. Took some fiddling with an older Kenwood receiver (powering at 50w/channel but these babies could benefit from 100w+) but man..... These. Have. Delivered. Amazing sound. These are in a roughly 16x30 basement and they shake the whole house. And not in an obnoxious way. I have cranked the volume up and the sound is clear on all levels and never obnoxious. Crystal clarity. I tested with Tron Legacy soundtrack (amazing!!!!), Dark Side of the Moon, Muse, and my son's Madeon album and it was like hearing them for the first time. They look amazing, sound amazing. Even Rachmaninoff and Beethoven. I researched, and these were the best bang (literally) for the buck. Bass vibrates my house in an unobnoxious way. ... show more

  • What Did I Do!
Style: Speaker Color: piano black (single)
What did I do! I just ordered speakers slightly larger than the Olsen twins! I smugly look over at my KEF LS 50's, after all they are Class A rated usually reserved for speakers costing more than a new Bentley, and I love them. I recently bought some B&W S2's Anniversary Editions, and yes they are as horrible sounding as what Andrew Robinson said they were. Damn he was right! So here they come up my driveway the KLIPSCH RP-8000's, delivered in an extra large Amazon truck (they did a great job by the way). Hey, they look somewhat manageable. They set up real easy, also to my surprise. They look amazing in their Piano Gloss Black finish. I hook them up to my Audiolab 6000 with a separate Audiolab CD transport, and now for the big moment. I put on Shelby Lynne's Just a Little Lovin', and was completely blown away! These speakers deliver on all fronts! Articulate, and very detailed, along with great dynamics, which is often overlooked in reviews. So for now my KEF's are put away, and don't even ask about the B&W's. I would like to congratulate KLIPSCH for making an outstanding loud speaker. Sound 11 out of 10 - Build quality 10 out of 10 - Value 11 out of 10 ... show more

  • Great speakers/Very good price.
Style: Speaker Color: Ebony (Pair)
I was looking to replace my 13 year old HT speakers to complement my recently acquired Sony XBR65X950H TV and Denon AVR-X470H AVR. After extensive research I decided on these Klipsch RP-8000F I was at first drawn to them because of something trivial like the copper cones. They look good with the magnetic grills removed which is a neat feature neither of which has anything to do with sound reproduction. The 8000's are well built and really heavy With the well designed somewhat flared Cast Aluminum feet, these speakers are very stable The Sound: What a pleasing difference between my old speakers and these 8000's, and there should well be. Clarity and openness first caught my attention. Familiar tracks exhibited a freshness that to me was noticeable. I was streaming Luke Cage (filled with many Bass heavy segments) and after a while I noticed that my Sub was turned off. There was plenty of Bass coming from each speaker. Turning the Sub on made a less noticeable difference compared to my old setup, well that is until a room rumbling rift comes along. Some may even get by without a Sub, but I like the added feel of the combination together. These 8000's do need a little break-in time. 4 days after initial automated Audyssey calibration I Re-calibrated with Audyssey and noticed a 1 to 1.5 db drop in speaker levels. I am very pleased with this purchase especially at 25% off. These came double boxed from Amazon and were in pristine condition. ... show more

  • Everybody loves them
Had to see what the big deal was when you see like 500 to 1000 reviews and it’s like a 4.8 out of five I kind of wanna to find out why everybody loves them so much . Plus I haven’t owned a pair of klispch speaker in years . Missed the horns .(need more cowbell) This 8000f is a listening speaker this is what I was looking for I have many things I play with that’s considered audiophile ( speaker collected nut here) but today’s audiophile sound makes me laugh I just want to say where’s the beef this brings the beef back into the speaker and it doesn’t cost that much I placed mine right next to my pair of revel 208s .I actually prefer listening to the klispch even know you can probably tell that the revel is the better speaker but it’s hard to put a finger on it the klispch doesn’t do everything perfect it just does everything funner . Its like this you kind of tend to stop using your music to play with your equipment and use your equipment to listen to your music with these speakers ,makes it fun . The new 8000 series 2 or out so you can find these series 1 for a good deals I got the piano gloss blacks for around 1000 bucks here on Amazon and threw a coat of McGuire‘s car wax on them they use some type of polyester type don’t quote me but the finish it almost looks like a real life black car automotive finish that’s one of the reason I actually put carnuba wax on them very beautiful just sitting there in the room saying crank me up They don’t need much power they very efficient and work with just about anything I throw on them I ended up keeping them paired with a rotel integrated amplifier and I barely crank it and it’s fills the room nicely. Grab you a pair probably won’t go wrong with these I can see why everybody loves them even some of my stuck up audiophile friends We just sit around like yeah you know just grab some beer crank up some Dire Straits some Metallica maybe some now Snoop Dogg Waylon Jennings Charlie Daniels and the damn thing does knock out some movie soundtracks if you like Hans Zimmer did really good on the Daft Punk Tron soundtrack. Jazz jazz jazz oh yeah saxophones horns lol horns through a horn loaded tweeter . They are big but it’s kind of worth It. In the world of trying to choose speakers with so much and so many out there these days and it’s kinda hard to choose especially when you have everybody on social media trying to tell you how to listen to your music these right here a safe bet and you can get them and listen to your music the way you want to that’s what I like about these They seem to appeal to anybody turn the bass up it sounds good you can turn the bass down it still sounds good you can crank your treble up and blow your windows out you can turn the treble down and whisper , they seem to do everything equally good yes there is better but are they this fun You decide . ... show more
