Description

The Klein Tools 935DAGL is a digital level tool that detects and measures angles much more accurately than traditional spirit bubble levels. This inclinometer can measure ranges from 0 to 90-Degree or 0 to 180-Degree with a display that rotates when used in vertical or horizontal orientations. A target angle with audible alarm can be set, allowing the user even greater efficiency. The V-groove magnetic base can attach to a miter saw, table saw, conduit, pipe, and other round or ferromagnetic surfaces.

  • 10x greater precision than iPhone built-in level!
Style: Digital Level
I got this handy little box to level my house, plus it turned out very useful for leveling the stones in an outdoor patio. This item is durable and simple to use. It automatically senses when you want it to run in 1D (traditional bubble level mode) or 2D (bullseye surface level mode). The mode depends on whether it's lying on its back or on its side. Its screen defaults to a vividly legible dark mode, which is a mercy when we work at night or in dark crawl spaces. Be sure to get the separate pipe strap if you need to level & plumb tubular objects. Note, there is in fact a 1D (bubble style) and 2D (surface style) level built into iPhones, and so I compared them. There was no context. The iPhone level is imprecise. As of July 2025, the iPhone level does not even pretend to distinguish inclinations in increments of less than one degree. That is practically useless for construction, especially in safety-conscious construction applications. This item is far better than the iPhone's built-in digital level, and it was well worth paying for the upgrade. This Klein level's precision is 1/10th of a degree in both dimensions. That is plenty for most applications. Extremely high precision engineering applications will need a high end Pro level 10x - 100x more expensive, but for household tasks and general construction, this level is perfect. As an added benefit over an iPhone level, there are none of the cybersecurity risks of leaving your phone (with its private data and high replacement price tag) lying around a worksite, plus this one is ruggedized and weather-resistant. There is a shock-resistant orange bumper around the edge. You can leave it on a surface for reference, or leave it strapped to a pipe, and it'll likely survive the shift unscathed. ... show more

  • Amazing little tool
Style: Digital Level
I had no idea such a tool existed. I'm using it to level and polar-align my telescope. I can even make it work as a clinometer, although it's a little awkward since you can't sight down the length of it while reading the display on the side. I checked its accuracy with a 4 ft. bubble level and it is pretty accurate, but you might want to use a traditional level for, say, floor joists in new home construction, which from what I've read is a little more accurate. But for most tasks, this thing is great. Strong, built-in magnet. ... show more

  • Very Good, Easy to Use
Style: Digital Level
Perfect little device. I got the 935DAGL on sale and don't regret the expense one bit. Some functions are automated, like tilt screen, tilt function change. I've yet to explore the alarm and memory functions but I don't really need those in my home garage. The included storage pouch is a bit too snug, and has no belt loop or clip, but it works for protection. ... show more

Easy to use and great features. My only complaints are the screwback to hold the batteries in and the carry case is pretty useless.

  • Essential Tool
Style: Digital Level
Love this thing so much I bought this for a friend. Easy to calibrate. The magnet is strong. It is super simple to use. Turn it on and put it where you want to know an angle/level. Depending on how you place it it will change from angle to bubble mode. It can be zero'd to check the delta between two angles. Sometimes I put it on top of my 4' level just to get a double check. I first used it to check the slope of a long drain run. Then used the bubble feature for a basketball hoop mount plate. I was also able to use this with a laser range finder to find a common height 100ft apart in my backyard. It can do tons of things ... show more
