This is a very nice product, handsome and solidly built. It was packed carefully and securely, and the parts list even detailed which screws and bits were extra. (I’ve seen products with extra hardware, but never one that told you what was extra. It eliminates the stress of wondering what I forgot to screw in.) Assembly was not a problem — about the level of difficulty as putting together IKEA furniture. One note of caution, though. If you have a kitten helping you assemble this, it will take you much longer than if you were doing it alone. As abundantly cautioned, you should measure your sink and pedestal to make sure it fits. (And I think it is unfair of reviewers to give low marks because of their failure to measure.) But that said, if you do need to make a tweak and you are somewhat handy, the wood (actually pressed particle board, I think) cuts easily. In my case, I used this for a small wall-mounted sink rather than a pedestal sink. This would have worked without any modifications at all if I didn’t mind the several-inch gap between the sink and cabinet top. But I wanted to close up the gap, so I placed 4” pieces of wood below the feet, also allowing me to place the cabinet above the floor molding, so the cabinet is nicely flush against the wall. (You can see the leg extensions in my photo, because I hadn’t painted them yet.) I also had to cut a bit out of the top to make a better fit with the sink bottom. Also, the way my pipes were shaped, I had to cut a little out of the middle shelf to make it fit. Since this was for a wall-mounted sink, instead of a pedestal, there was an extra hole in the bottom shelf, which you can see in my other photo. But that’s not a huge problem if you just use baskets or place something over the hole. In fact, I discovered, if you don’t cover up the hole (and have raised the cabinet 4”) your kitten/helper can easily find himself inside the cabinet. ... show more

I have a sink that is odd shaped and an odd height because it was designed to be wheelchair friendly- which made finding storage for underneath tricky. I took a chance on this and it’s great- I had to leave off 1 of the back boards to make room for the pipes, but otherwise it’s sturdy and nice enough for the price. Assembly wasn’t terrible, but takes a little patience. It isn’t a ton of storage, but it holds enough to be worth it. ... show more

    • Nice design but terrible camlocks and improper bottom fit

I measured before purchasing but still had issues with the bottom piece being too small. I had to saw it off to fit the bottom portion of my pedestal sink. I also had to saw a little bit of the back panels for the opening to fit as well. Otherwise all the boards matched up in sizes and screw holes were aligned appropriately. I love the design and the boards are Ikea-like quality. However the camlocks are extremely cheap and constantly kept falling out while I was putting it together. Even after assembly, slight movement makes them fall out. I'll be super glueing them tomorrow. I wanted to give it at least 4 stars for functionality and aesthetics, but the fact I had to turn it into a DIY project docked a star. ... show more

    • To hide pedestals and plumbing under freestanding sinks, this has the right design.

PROS: Fits neatly under a free-standing "salad bowl" glass sink on steel legs. Esthetically, the front has vertical slats and a warm grey color and modern handles. Some storage afforded. CONS: There were no text instructions, only diagrams. In addition, the print was so small that most people beyond the flush of youth may have to use a magnifier. There are lots of components which must frustrate a lot of people (cams, pins, screws, dowels, hinges, handles...) The materials are very thin and it is to be regarded more as a pleasing "cover" for ugly undersink plumbing more than a sturdy storage unit. With little of the structural support of a rectangular back board, I thought the unit would have come askew over time. RECOMMENDATIONS: There aren't many options at this price point, so I suggest you reinforce the structure upon assembly: a) Use glue, not just in the dowel holes, but also between adjacent pieces of wood, MDF or fiberboard, clamping, if possible. b) At all seams, I would add some adhesive and caulk as the moisture and heat of a bathroom could cause it to lose integrity. c) Add some rubber feet protectors so as to keep the MDF legs off a wet floor. d) I bought this more for esthetics and for storage, and I will not open the front door very much; so, it should be around for a few years. ... show more

It has pieces similar to those seen in ikea furniture - the circular pieces that lock into screws. Unlike ikea, surprisingly, they don’t work. The pieces spin and spin and just when you think you’ve got it and stand it up, they all fall out. Incredibly frustrating. I was really looking forward to this and it has been the absolute biggest letdown. Skip this - I’ll be going through wayfair for a replacement. ... show more

    • Falls apart after assembly.

Disappointed, returned. The unit looks so nice and had it been stable I would have kept it. I may have received defective hardware, so it may not be the standard. The locking nuts did not work. It assembled easily but the moment I tried to move it to put in place the locking nuts loosened and one even just fell out. I have used these types of locking nuts many times and even had my husband confirm I wasn't crazy. Because they will not tighten or stay in place the cabinet was UNUSABLE. I sent in the return request, but have no comment yet about the return process. ... show more

We were contemplating replacement of the original pedestal sink in our guest bathroom with a new cabinet and sink. We wanted more storage for items without the bathroom getting more cluttered. This option was a lot cheaper and eliminated a lot of work in replacing the whole sink. It comes in a well packaged small box and was not heavy. It was super easy to assemble, much like an IKEA products. The pieces fit together nicely. The hardware was well packaged and there were extra screws and bolts in case you loose one. It took around 30 minutes to put together and it looks great. 5 stars!! ... show more
