Very helpful for clipping nails

These hammocks are great for clipping nails on two of our pups that won't let you hold them and clip their nails. My dogs aren't in any pain while they are in this. It has some extra padding in the neck area so there's no pressure on my dog. There's a wide velcro strap that goes around my pets stomach and back to secure them where they can not slip out. I wouldn't use this if I didn't feel it was safe for them. I feel like they have added the features needed to make it safe. It's easy to put on them and the material is mesh. I'm pleased with the quality of these and they are suitable for my small dogs. One dog is around 9 pounds so she has an extra small and our 22 pound dog uses a small. I initially got a medium for our 22 pound pup but these do run a little big so I ordered a small for her and it works great.

The SLING!!!!

Purchased this for my 15 yr old Yorkie boy. He's has some arthritis now and I thought something like this would be great for him while being groomed and should spare him any excessive moving around and prevent any further pain. Both of my dogs had their spa appointments this week and I took this sling along to see if they could use it with my boy. The groomer couldn't believe it as they didn't have one !!!! Imagine! So she used it and it was a successful experience for him. She took a picture with him hanging there and she was able to do his nails and then some . Anyway, she loves it andi donated it to the shop for any dogs use. This is an crazy mad sling for a dog or cat. It's well made ,strong with all the bells plus a nail clipper, a metal nail file a set of straps for attaching to the pole. The color is not important to me just the use. It's washable and I recommend it. The price is right too. I just purchased another one because the one I donated to the groomers shop. My boy Yorkie is 16 yrs old and cannot be groomed at the groomers any more. He has arthritis,is partially blind, is lame in one leg and just became impossible to groom him. So this is what i'v done. I got another one in xsm. and it fits him perfectly. He 5 lbs with a belly band( incontinent of his bladder)and 4.5 lbs without one I bathe him myself but the nails is the issue. YORKIES have black nails that you can injure if you can see the quick. He loose his balance easily if he gets scared. Grooming him is also an issue because he can't stand for a long time like other healthier, more stable dogs are. This sling is going to help me groom him without the stress the groomers were putting him through. I have all the equipment necessary for grooming him myself as I used to do that before I started taking him and my girl to the groomers. She still goes because she ok with it. I also order a inflatable collar which arrived today so I can apply it to support his neck area while in the sling. I have big plans for this and if it works out, and it should, I will do a video to show how it turned out. The sling is for dogs 4-8 lbs. It's very adjustable and comes with clippers and a file ( I don't use clippers for the nails) only a Dremel. The collar will help me trim his face and keep him from moving all over. He doesn't like to have his face or mouth touched. I recommend this sling for small dogs with health and mobility issues so that they don't get hurt at the groomers if they don't already have one. You can always take your own. Great price , quality and a good grooming item to have.

So this, this is an absolute godsend. I have a little 9 lb yorkie/shihtzu mix and I have never been able to cut his nails easily. Spend over 2 hours brushing, bathing, and giving him a haircut, fine, he’s happy as a clam. But he acted like I was torturing him every time I went anywhere near his nails. No amount of treats or praise made a difference. Worse, he’d try and bite at anyone else who tried. I ended up having to cut one or two, then stop for the day, and cut one or two the next day, and repeat. He’d wiggle and fight the whole time. I even tried one of those rotary files, and while more successful than clipper cutting, he still wouldn’t tolerate it for long enough to do all his nails. And it took forever to do one paw. At 15 years old his fighting me was making his little legs and hips so sore. It was heartbreaking. Enter this sling. It fits him perfectly, snug, and doesn’t cut into his windpipe or legs. The padding around the neck is a thoughtful touch and the velcro belly strap gives me peace of mind that even my wiggly worm isn’t going to be able to fight his way out of it. The carabiners and hooks are sturdy and the stitching on the straps is secure. It is very well made and thought out. Now for the miracle: I strapped my little guy into the harness, strung him up, and he just went still. No struggling. No heavy panicked breathing. Just still. The process took me less than 3 minutes to cut ALL of his nails, including the tricksy and tender dew claws. And he never wiggled or fought once. No sore hips or legs afterwards, just simple easy perfection and lots of treats and love as a reward. I am so relieved I feel like crying. I didn’t use the included file or clippers, so I can’t speak about them, but this sling? It is the best single grooming purchase I have made in 15 years. I just wish I had one so much sooner.

Great for owners, hated by dogs

My corgi absolutely hated this but I loved it! Saved my back and also prevented her from sitting down every time I tried to trim her hair on her butt. I gave only 4 stars bc I wish it had longer rope length. I attached this to my pull up bar that I hooked over my door frame. Had to use a different rope not included for her to not feel so suspended high up in the air (I feel safer having her lower to the ground).

Amazingly easy to trim nails now

I bought this because my spicy dog, Kevin, who is a rescue goes Crazy whenever his nails are trimmed. He’s wonderful with me. An extra loving until the clippers come out, and then he becomes aggressive and snaps at me. We adopted him when he was five years old, and we think he was abused in the past. So trimming his nails has been a nightmare. Until tonight. I think he was more and shock and surprise about being suspended in the air because I didn’t have any problems. He didn’t move his paws at all or fight me. I was even able to trim the hair on his paws! 100% recommend this. I got the medium sling and my dog weighs about 13 pounds. He’s part Chihuahua and about 14 other things. I was actually worried that it was gonna be a little bit too big for him, but it worked out. And it comes with nail trimmers and a nail file.

Great for nail trims

This works well for my 23lb Corgipoo to do her nails and foot shaving. Also useful to trim her face hair if she’s being a wiggly girl. My girl has a long chonky body and this still works well for her and straps her in tight. Easy to attach to grooming table. Nice material and sizing was correct for my dogs needs.
