I didn't mean to test the pot holder to such an extreme, but it did prove that it's a sturdy pot holder and gives me confidence that hot pans/pots will probably never damage it. If I ever need more, I'm definitely getting these again! I boiled water for a meal recently and after I was through with it, I moved it off the burner. Normally I would put it on a different burner, but without thinking about it, I set the pot on a pot holder. A few minutes later, I noticed the steam coming from the pot and realized I put a bot of boiling water on the pot holder. Now I know pot holders are meant to hold hot objects, but I still try to avoid potential damage where I can. However, the pot holder was completely fine! No burn marks, and the other side of the pot holder wasn't even hot. ... show more

These Kitchen Aid potholders are larger than the last Kitchen Aid version I bought years ago. I like this fabric, their size, and color. I washed them and they still look great. I skipped the dryer and simply air dried them overnight. These potholders look nice with my kitchen’s coastal colors. I toss badly stained or fraying potholders….to me, potholders need to be in good shape since I’m counting on them to protect my hands. I doubt these will be leaving me for years. I guess I always expect quality from Kitchen Aid and these did not disappoint. ... show more
