This kitchen sink drain cover fits perfectly on my existing kitchen sink. The plug works well to completely stop water from draining when necessary. The only drawback is that plug extends up past the base of the sink so that when large pots or pans are left in the sink the plug is unintentionally engaged which prevents water from draining.

This is probably the best kitchen sink drain strainer I have used so far and by far. I bought it at first for my kitchen sink with garbage disposal because my old strainer broke, and I needed something to replace it. After some research, I zeroed in on this model. Note that there a several brands selling similar strainers on Amazon. There are a couple of reasons why I chose this one. Number one is that it is made entirely of stainless steel, including the strainer basket itself. Others have baskets made from plastic, or some other plastic pieces, which I did not like. This one I can easily throw into my dishwasher to clean. Second, is its versatility. You can easily block the water flow with the strainer by simply pressing the central push button! Then just push the button again and the water will drain out. To empty the strainer basket, you can pull it out by the same “button” thing. The strainer has a silicone seal that perfectly fits the drain. The sale silicone seal is used for the drain plug. The only minor drawback is that it has a wide steel ring that sits ontop of the drain, and this somewhat prevents the water from draining out completely. You always have a small ring of water sitting around this strainer, which is annoying. But otherwise, it looks absolutely great and works perfectly! Bottom line: This kitchen sink drain strainer is the best I’ve used, primarily due to its fully stainless-steel construction (including the basket) and versatility. It’s easy to clean in the dishwasher and features a central push-button to switch between water blocking and draining, with a silicone seal for a perfect fit. The only minor drawback is the wide steel ring, which leaves a small ring of water around the drain. Overall, it looks great and works efficiently! 5 stars and highly recommended! Pros: 1. Fully stainless steel, including the basket, for durability. 2. Dishwasher-safe for easy cleaning. 3. Push-button design for switching between blocking and draining water. 4. Silicone seal ensures a snug, leak-free fit. 5. Sleek and modern appearance. Cons: 1. The wide steel ring causes a small water ring to remain around the strainer. 2. May slightly slow drainage.

This is more substantial than I thought it would be. It also fit my sink that dates back to 1958 perfectly as you can see in the photos. It is a push button type drain. So when the middle part is raised, it drains water and when you press it down, it seals and allows you to fill the sink. The seal is made from what appears to be silicon. I'm glad it's not rubber because rubber degrades over time. It really is impressive build quality. I'm glad to have it because I've been using a simple strainer in the sink with no ability to seal unless I put a flat plate over it. A long time ago I had a sealing drain stopper that you would raise up and twist the middle portion to seal and unseal. This locking mechanism is much better. Not sure if it will last, but it's much more convenient.

This works perfect in our sink. Fits beautifully. Very easy to use and clean. Easily would recommend this item if you are needing a new drain strainer for your kitchen sink. Price is definitely right on it. I've bought things for just a little less than this that were not worth the money spent and the same with ones I've bought that were more expensive. this is a nice weight and well made. Not lightweight and flimsy, this is good weight stainless steel.
