It works great for what I wanted to use it for. I needed something that wasn’t hard or drying and added moisture. I mainly use it for twists and braids. The smell is an added benefit because sometimes I didn’t like the smell of the hair products after two days and I often use so I would have to wash it. Im glad that I no longer have to wash hair every three days. I haven’t been using it that long so I can’t comment on how long it would last because I try to wash my hair every two weeks and my kids hair every week unless it needs washing sooner. ... show more

I got this because my hair stylist uses it. It lays baby hairs like no other and lasts 2-3 days! Probably longer if you tie it down correctly before bed. And there’s no residue or flaking (at least for silk presses and braids). She uses watermelon which is okay, but the Very Cherry is BOMB!!! I have been on the search for most of my life for an edge cream that doesn’t flake and doesn’t look you plastered your hair. This is it. My edges are managed and yet look natural. My daughter was away at college when I made this discovery. I told her about it and she didn’t believe me. She tried mine when she got home for summer break and provided almost the same glowing verbatim review. She loves it. I immediately bought her her own jar. We’re hooked.
