The media could not be loaded. Updated: After initiated the refund, I was able to connect with someone from the company over the phone to better explain that the unit is actively leaking coolant all over, the box is destroyed, and that I’m not even sure how to return this. They did say they believed it was leaking and that they’d just go ahead and refund me without needing the unit returned. Honestly a huge relief. The support was very responsive! Still not sure how to properly dispose of it, and I’m genuinely sad to still be in need of an AC and back to square one. I will, however, after this experience, be purchasing another portable ac unit IRL from a store with whomever I can find that drives a vehicle large enough to put one in and get it to my apt. I’m not sure why they haven’t figured out a better way to ship these, especially when it seems we can ship giant, super thin, fragile TVs all the time without issue. Lesson learned. Original Review: I was hopeful when I ordered this, and tbh I ordered it off Amazon because their delivery drivers are the best. However, this unit came through FedEx (a day late) and was actively leaking coolant when I opened it. I destroyed the box frantically trying to get the unit out ASAP since it was leaking all over. The coolant got all over my shirt as I pulled this greased hunk of plastic from the styrofoam jaws of life it was boxed in. From the looks, it’s likely it was dropped in transit. All I know is im now out hundreds of dollars, my apt is still hot, my floor is now slick, and I have this giant unit that I can barely lift sitting on a towel as it continues to leak while I sort through this return process. Spare yourself and just go to Costco or whatever big box store you prefer and get one in person if you can. Not worth the hassle. ... show more

Purchased this and another brand of similar specs. This one is considerably quieter than others but still a little noisy when in the cooling mode. It seems these companies like to publish the decibel level based on the fan mode only. And realistically, being a compressor, it's going to make some noise when cooling. This air conditioner was easy to set up and seems very effective at keeping my small (one bedroom, 600 sq. ft.) apartment cool. Within a short while, my miserably over-heated apartment with no air conditioning turned into a comfortable air-conditioned living space. Since I've only had it for about a week so far, I can't speak to the total lifespan of the product, but I can definitely say with high confidence I have a great first impression. This product met my cooling expectations and made my living space much more enjoyable. So far so good! The first week I had the AC it cooled great. It is pretty loud, but not unbearable, I mean it is an AC in your room. This AC was NOT energy efficient at all. Since I plugged it in my electric bill this summer was higher than the previous 5 summers I’ve lived in my house, and that’s with not turning down my big AC at night. I have another brand in my game room that works better and did not affect my bill. I would not but again and will give it away to someone who needs it in my community. ... show more
