  • Best Mobile Controller Period
Style: Kishi V3 Pro
I highly recommend this controller! I’ve used 4 other mobile controllers in the past. They all work ok but none have been as refined as this one. The only other controllers that would fit the iPad mini were Bluetooth only, no usb connection. This Kishi plugs directly into the iPad and has a charging pass through to maintain power while gaming. It feels like a full sized controller and the buttons feel great as well. Definitely snag you one of these if you are mobile gaming. It’s a game changer. ... show more

  • Works great. This is it for specific mobile gamers in 2025.
Style: Kishi V3 Pro XL
I’ve been an avid handheld and razer kishi hopeful since Razer still had elastics to keep the phones in the controller. Lol 😌 So far the Kishi Ultra has been my favorite, albeit the more bulkier option for mobile clamp style controllers, but that’s usually great for ergonomics in lieu of portability. The V2 Pro that only came with the Razer Edge was good before the Ultra, but was definitely much less ergonomic, but also more portable to store and lug around. Cases for these are few and far between too. Which is where the backbone has an…edge (heh). Too bad the Edge itself was mostly useless to me since the Android version is limited and restricts user access to root making this awful for certain gaming use cases. And official support for it is completely gone now. 😩 The V3 Pro XL shares similar features to the Ultra minus the Chroma stuff. I did notice the tension on the sticks are a little weaker than the Ultras so it could cause some drifting for some games since the dead zone will be sensitive. Though this could easily be subjective to each shipped item rather than the entirety of the manufactured controllers, ymmv. ☝️ Overall similar to the Ultra except its compatibility with larger tablets and the extra buttons I had no real use for for my use case. Convenient but not essential, so to speak. Also pay attention if you’re using a 13” tablet, overall construct is hilariously huge. 🤣 All in all, if you prefer a clamp style iPad Pro-sized device controller, this is it. 🤩 If you don’t mind propping up the tablet or mounting it and just using a competitive quality controller like the usual Sony, XB, 8bitDo or GameSir controllers detached, I would recommend doing that instead. 👌 I intended to convince myself to start gaming on my workhorse iPad Pro M4 since I prefer to have my phone handy for the phone-specific uses like searching and comms, but I think i still prefer using the Ultra with my iPad Mini or iPhone for what I need with lower requirement games i like playing on mobile or if I plan to pack light. Anything more, I will use my Ally X. for all my portable gaming needs. As a personal note, the aspect ratio and FOV for games doesn’t sit well for me on an iPad anyway since it feels too zoomed in for me (specially being used to 16:9 or 32:9 with 90-110 fov). These are the things I tend to take note of for my own use cases. 🤷♂️ Cannot exactly justify the price of a PS Portal for a controller clamp that still wont natively work with WuWa (Kuro’s bug though not Razer’s). But if this is the solution you are looking for, this is it. Just expect most of the price to be associated to the branding and specific use scenarios like “pro” mobile gaming. Which i think is ok since that’s common business practice now. Doesnt justify it, but it is what it is nowadays. 🤷♂️ ... show more

  • a great mobile device controller with mini features, ok for PC USE
Style: Kishi V3 Pro
This controller is packed with features and clearly designed with both mobile and PC gamers in mind. For mobile use, it’s outstanding but as a $149 pro-tier device, while a premium mobile device controller, it doesn’t quite hit the same premium feel you’d expect for a PC equivalent at this price point. Still, it’s a major upgrade over most mobile options and absolutely changes how you play on your phone or tablet. Pros • Excellent for mobile gaming with tons of built-in features • Comfortable full-size thumbsticks with interchangeable caps • Record button and Razer Nexus button add extra value • Includes pass-through charging and 3.5 mm audio jack • Comes with adjustable rubber padding for a wide range of device sizes with a case or no case • Works with iPhone, iPad mini, and Android via USB-C Cons • Lacks the solid, weighted feel of most $150 controllers (most likely intentional due to the fact that your device will also be included in the weight factor) • Thumbsticks can pop off if not fully clicked in • Doesn’t collapse into a traditional controller shape for PC use • Long-term durability is still uncertain The Kishi V3 Pro is a huge leap forward compared to standard mobile controllers. It’s lightweight likely to accommodate the weight of the device you slot into the middle, and offers responsive controls, adjustable thumbsticks, and thoughtful design touches like a dedicated capture button and a customizable app launcher via the Nexus button. Initially, I thought that last feature was unnecessary, but it actually helped me rediscover a few mobile games I’d forgotten I owned. Setup is easy: just slot your device in and plug into the USB-C port. It includes extra rubber grips for differently sized devices, and it even lets you charge and use headphones while playing. Swapping thumbsticks is simple, though make sure they’re securely attached to avoid mid-game slips. On mobile, this thing’s something that will give you an edge up over the competition. I played Call of Duty Mobile and won every match… seriously. For PC use, the controller technically works and the back button mapping is a nice touch, but the non collapsible design makes it awkward as a dedicated desktop controller. Still, if you’re buying this mainly for mobile gaming, it’s a game changer. For PC, it’s functional but not as ideal. Razer clearly thought through a lot of use cases here, and the result is a controller that earns its spotthough not without a few tradeoffs. New Product Feature Rating: 8.5/10 Top-tier for mobile gaming, slightly underwhelming as a premium PC controller Disclaimer: I received this product as part of the Amazon Vine program. In exchange for this product I delivered an unbiased and fair review to my best of my ability. I review products by evaluating their quality, price, and intended use. A higher cost demands better quality while budget items can earn higher marks if they meet their purpose effectively. The media could not be loaded. So the controller is kinda cheap feeling but feels good in the hands and works well with pretty much every game, but this could be a lot better. The charging port on the side is type c but charges very slow
