We've been doing a plant exchange for several years now. On a whim, I purchased these labels. For writing, Sharpie wore off, but grease pencil (available at your home improvement store) is a winner! Writing stays on as long as you want it. When you want to reuse, just wipe hard and start over. Oh, and once we started labeling the plants, we've found that donations (for those who don't exchange a plant) have gone up drastically. For plants we receive, we can label them immediately and insure that their next owner knows what they are getting. In my own garden, I plant, then label. If the plant comes up, great! These are soooooooo cheap. I bought some a few years ago from another seller who doesn't sell them anymore. They were extremely durable and flimsy. My mother is a master gardener (certified) and the minute she looked at these she was immediately impressed.. they are very .. sorry .. VERY sturdy.. waterproof and have a "V" shaped point at the bottom that makes them super easy to insert and keeps them in place when you put them in the dirt. if we need more then the 500 in this pack.. i'll definitely order these again. ... show more

I love the size and shape of these tags. For indoor use they are great. However, I wrote on them with a Sharpie and put them in my outdoor garden. The ink has already completely worn off. It's like I never wrote on them at all. I have no way of tracking what I was trying to track - now that the plants are grown it's obvious what they are, but I had included additional information on the tags. It's all gone now. Also, the tag isn't quite sturdy enough to stick in the ground itself. I have to dig a little hole to put it in. The tag bends like a slinky otherwise. If you want these for indoors, get them! If you want them for outdoors, stay away. Or maybe find a more indelible ink than a sharpie. ... show more

These must have been returned or something or divided while they were in the shed and the dirt They're dirty and very hard to ride on Some are bent.

Received 2 stacks of 100. Box does not look like it even fits 500 in the format they were received. I've purchased stacks of a 100 so I was skeptical about the quantity received. I manually counted and there are exactly 200 PCS. Now I have to get a replacement and waste my time returning the item. I will update review, on quantity received in replacement order. If you write the plant name in permanent marker and it's in the sun, the sun will bleach off the writing in a few days leaving you to wonder what you'd planted.

I was looking for sturdy plastic plant markers for my garden. These were a lot thinner than expected. They were very flimsy, like a plastic folder. They might work great, but I would like sturdier plastic plant markers.
