I bought 2 pair. One navy/floral and one orange. Both in medium. I love the floral. The fit is slightly tight in the waist. It is soft and lightweight. The orange fit is larger than the floral. A true medium fit. However it seems to be a thicker, rougher fabric. I still like them both, I just wish the fit and fabric was consistent throughout the colors. The blend is different in both pair. The orange is cotton and linen and the floral is poly/spandex.

The shorts are a linen blend, so they're much softer than traditional linen, which I like. I'm 5 foot 4 and 6 months postpartum. At about a 150 pounds and bought the size large. If you're in between sizes, I would recommend sizing up. The draw string makes the waist really flexible. Plenty of pockets and pretty well constructed. Flattering shape and not sheer at all in the black. Overall, I think they're a good bang for the buck and I would definitely purchase again in other colors.

UPDATE: I received the black and the fit is much smaller. I could wear them, but with 87% cotton, I doubt they will even fit after a wash. When I go in to try to order another pair in the same size (hoping the pair I received is an anomaly), I now have to wait 5 days for delivery. I originally rated these shorts 5 stars. But my rating has dropped with this last shipment. Having such differences in sizing and having to wait 5 days for another pair that may or may not fit is unacceptable. ORIGINAL: I ordered these in navy and then also ordered a black from a different supplier. They looked identical on the product page, but the black ones were much stiffer and made with almost a canvas-like material (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BQQBFJQR?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details). There was nothing terribly bad about the other shorts, but their inability to flex well made them less comfortable and snugger around the waist. I am returning them. As for these navy shorts, they are very comfortable, flexible, the waistline is more relaxed and stretches more comfortably and they have a much more summery feel. I have ordered these same shorts in black now, and while I haven't yet received them, I am hoping they will fit similarly as these. I am top heavy, so my waist is wider than I'd like, while my hips are slim. These shorts accommodate my thicker waist and fit okay in the hips--I could probably go down a size if not for the waist. They are also a nice length--not too long for my shorter frame (5'4") and not to short either--a conservative and safe length for me. I look ridiculous in shorts that are too long. These are just about perfect.

Very comfy casual shorts. Waist band is stretchy so it fit well. Does wrinkle easily if sitting down for a while but this material always does so I wasn’t surprised.

The style of these shorts are right there with linen material shorts. The fit appears to be breathable and will be less stiff upon washing. Pockets are a good depth. Overall, a great purchase and would order in other colors.

The shorts were comfortable and fit well. The color wasn't as dark as I had hoped, the description stated dark blue. The color was darker than a periwinkle blue but not as dark as a navy blue. The only reason for 4 stars. I will keep them because they did fit well!
