These are smooth and nice to use. Can be used with water very easily by either adding water to colour on the page or dissolving dome of the stick on a palette. They blend nicely too. I am an avid colorist it's my thing my relaxation and lately I have been diving into different mediums to try out I've been wanting to try gel crayons for awhile now. Now that I have had them for about a month I feel like I can give a honest review. I see all of the youtubers use gel crayons and thought they looked cool especially for backgrounds in my pictures and while I still want the fc Gelatos these to me are a good stepping stone while I haven't tried those the kingart ones to me seem to be a great budget alternative you get a lot of color choices with these from skintones to pastels and metallics to your primary and secondary colors I also bought the makeup brushes to play with these but my favorite way to use them so far has been to put them on a pallet and use them as watercolors it's been so fun playing around with them and seeing how they can really add to a coloring page I really love the metallic ones they have a nice sheen to them if your just wanting to try a new medium or expand your coloring collection I really truly think these are a great addition they have smaller sets if you don't want the whole set and I'm really happy to add them to my mediums for my coloring pages I'm very happy with the purchase and would buy again when needed but feel like these will last a long time you get a lot with each crayon and so many colors that I don't see them running out anytime soon so to me the cost to buy them is worth it because they will probably last me the next couple years and I color everyday and I felt the price was budget friendly to begin with for as many colors as you get I don't have anything bad to say about this product and look forward to trying other products by kingart ... show more

I had had this on my list for quite awhile and finally ordered it and was most excited to receive it. I new there was something wrong with it when it arrived with out a box. The product was used and all the tips were dirty. How disappointing to receive a used product. I can’t recommend this product, not worth the price. ... show more

I use these gel crayons in my adult coloring on the backgrounds. You can smear the crayon onto a palet or plate and brush on using a little water on a paint brush for water color effects. The other way is to smear onto palet or plate, pick up the gel with a make up brush or blender and use.circular motions on background. It's a little messier the second way but the pigment is beautiful and it really is a joy to use. If you didn't want any smearing, you could use a fixative spray after but I'm not terribly worried about it. I love how easy this goes on for backgrounds, which are hard work to do with pencils alone. This way is faster, looks good and easier. Thes.e gel crayons are cheaper than the faber castel but good quality and perfect for amateur adult coloring. ... show more
